      Goodes
      Kirk
      ROK
      Grundy
      Bolton
      LRT
Bird, Thornton, Moore, Jolly, Jack, Smith with honorable mentions

Hall did some good things but was more action than effect.

MOL was useless. Shaw did some okay things but had usual quota of brain farts.

Richards had a pretty average game. Crouch was excremental and surely the end is nigh. Mattner, see Shaw. White did some good things but needs to lift his work rate (and will). Mcveigh was clearly not 100% after he hurt his shoulder.

there are probably others that belong in the good or bad list, but they don't spring to mind.

Oh, and Roos coaching was as usual, stiff and dullen.
White - very hard to lift his work rate if he isn't on the ground. I have no issue with Jolly on the ball most of the game but why not put White up forward when MOL wasn't getting a sniff.

the effort and commitment was there but it just didn't work. when we're on top we need to kick goals, after all our pressure they go down one time and get a goal and that's it.

we need a change of game plan somehwere because the players obviously aren't as good at playing this way anymore and time's are changing.

Was Richards the only person in Australia that didn't know that was a Collingwood free? Rhyce Shaw even tried to smother his kick.

Richards made 2 crucial clangers of the tallest order twice when we had control, and singlehandedly whenched that control from us.

            @@@@ I'm angry right now.

Beaten by a very very ordinary Collingwood team, and we are even more ordinary. Watched Melbourne last night, another team with virtually zero footy skills. Can't wait till we play them, and perhaps finish them off in a close one.

Jolly taps the ball right down McVeighs throat, fumbles, again, and results in a pies goal.

Why did we fumble so much, yet they did not??

No footy skills. Need the youngsters. This game plan will no longer work in todays footy. Our congested type footy has been hiding our poor footy skills and today it was evident that we really have little. Smith's disposal was very good, while Barlow and Thornton showed promise. Need more of the youngsters. Veszpa, Braba, maybe DOK need to play.

Refer earlier post re basic football skills. We just don't have them. Spend too much time on bull@@@@ leadership group, group therapy, feelgood love-ins, and not much time on actually getting to feel the footy.

Gee, McVeigh was playing with one arm for most of the night, give him a break.

Definitely a lot of fumbling though, Crouch the worst offender and Barlow seemed afraid of any kind of physical contact...

                      Yeh, saw that.

I first put the fumbles down to the dampness, but it seemed a bit one sided.

So, if he had one arm, he was a liability, and it showed, and it showed at that critical time of the fame.
                      Goodes wasn't much better.

Except for the lack of physicality, I thought Barlow was alright.

Boy Dr J you seem angry, just hold your breath and breath slowly, I heard a helicopter over Sunbury tonight, it wasn't over your house was it.

That looks like our season definer.

Was that Goodes's worst game of the season. Great first quarter but where to after that. Some of his handballs to nowhere were breathtaking and he couldn't hold his feet.
Grundy played probably his best game but that OOF when the game was still there to be won just let him down badly. And why did ROK lead to the 10th row back? When we had the long kicks going in the 2nd half we had them at sixes and sevens, but went back to "the nothings" in the last qaurter.
                          Jolly, Kirk and ROK outstanding.
MOL - I just hope you get to 300. One of his worst games.
Moore - continued his inglorious season. Any chance of when he does get it of moving it on. Poor effort.
Jack - found some form but needs to kick those set shots running in under no pressure. If he kicks that one, who knows what might have happened.
Crouch - will someone at the club please tell him time is up. Finished off his crap work with a brilliant OOF.
Mattner - not one of his best.
Thornton - for crying out loud leave the bloke on the ground. He shows something.
Smith - well you don't like to bag him in his first game for 2009 but if he can't do better by foot than that then his career is short lived. Mind you in the time honoured Sydney fashion he is another midfielder being groomed as a tagger.
LRT was good, Bevan not too bad, Barlow is a poor finisher, Bird needs to find a lot more pace, J Bolton was service able.

That's 2 weeks in a row that we have stopped against depleted sides.

Simple answer is we leave it up to too few and we are not good enough. When Goodes is down we have no brilliance and our leg speed over the first few metres is pedestrian.

There was A LOT worse than Goodes and McVeigh. Try singling out some of the guys who did next to nothing all game... Crouch, MOL, Bevan for example.

What did Barlow do that was alright? No physicality, turned the ball over constantly, kicked over the forward's heads on numerous occasions...

He got hold of the ball more often than the others.
Nearly all butchered it so it's a bit hard to single out players.
