    Hall may get 5 weeks.

It seems our Barry could be gone for as much as 5 weeks according to the following story. 4 weeks with guilty plea.

Barry's latest blow has career on edge | Herald Sun

Best case scenario is 2 weeks with a guilty plea.

Brian Taylor on the St Kilda game coverage this afternoon during the half time break said that the Swans who once had a very strong and respected leadership group now seem to have lost all that as a result of what Biffo Barry is doing. I had to agree with him.

Perhaps the best thing is that the Club still retain him but give him the rest of the season off and then one more year next year before retirement. I'm only saying that because young Lewis should get a chance to play as 3rd forward now that Micky is gone.

Don't ask me who should be 2nd best forward because I'd say Micky O.

He may get 9, if the swans get serious with him.

I think it is time to move him on.
    Enough is enough.

Even plugger, who I believe was much more volatile than Hall, managed to curb his aggression.

That is a good point. He had white line fever off the field.

I wonder what excuses we'll get for the latest brain snap?

The reality is he collected Rutton flush on the jaw and for a trained boxer like Hall it's probably only luck he didn't break his jaw.

James Hird was suggesting a week or two as the impact was so minor ie looked worse than it was.

The impact was very minor. There have been incidents in other matches this year where no action has been taken as the "blow" was not very forceful.
However, because it is Barry Hall they will throw the book at him. Alas I am expecting him to get at least a couple of weeks.

I think two weeks makes sense given low impact.

He should get the Cameron Ling ruling. You know the one. Punch someone with force in the kidneys send the player to the ground doubled up in pain and get off with a reprimand

No doubt they will whack him with a "deliberate" grading. And pretty hard to argue against really, given that the 3/4 siren had well and truly gone.

Not defending BBH in terms of grading he'll get, because I agree with you about it being deliberate, but I'm positive the free, etc was given a few seconds before the 3/4 siren went.

He'd be a dominant boxer i reckon, he has the right mindset for it, alot of mongrel in him, and he likes punching people in the head. australia needs a good heavyweight boxer, imagine the the money he'd make out of it. i reckon he could take a punch too..

FIGJAM, on Sunrise this morning said he would get suspended only because he is Barry Hall, pretty much sums it up.

Garry Lyon, just saying this morning,
                            - he is a lost cause.
                            - lucky to be a premiership player, as he got off for that punch.
                            - get rid of him.

I agree, I've had enough of his stupidity.

Way over the top reaction from everyone because its Barry Hall.

Mark McVeigh did something very similar two or three weeks ago, got reported for it, did his time and hardly a word raised on the issue. Get over it, he was stupid he should get a week or two.

Look at it as an opportunity to see the future forward line of the swans in action.
