C: Nick Smith, Brett Kirk, Martin Mattner
HF: Jarrad McVeigh, Ryan O?Keefe, Craig Bird
F: Heath Grundy, Michael O?Loughlin, Adam Goodes
Foll: Darren Jolly, Kieren Jack, Jude Bolton
Int (from): Luke Ablett, Ed Barlow, Ryan Brabazon, Nick Malceski, Mike Pyke, Patrick Veszpremi, Jesse White

In: Ablett, C.Bolton, Malceski, McVeigh, Pyke.

Bolton and McVeigh back in is good news. Hopefully those are the only 2 changes and Ablett doesn't get a look in at the expense of one of the youngsters

I really liked what I saw of Thornton two weeks ago, had a good sense of where and when to kick into the forward line. Something we desperately need. Obv didn't see the Crows game, did he not get involved? I'd much rather him in than Ablett.

If Hall wasn't suspended I would have preferred that Veszpremi had a solid hit out in the reserves, but now we need his goalscoring firepower.

      My final bench would be:
      Barlow Pyke Veszpremi White
      Emg: Ablett Brabazon Malceski

Thornton out!! If Ablett comes in its a disgrace. If Brabazon is dropped off the pine and the thirty one year old tagger gets a game its an even greater disgrace. FFS what has happened to this club?

Crouch must have pictures of Paul Roos dressed as a woman.

So you would put two big blokes, an unfit small forward and a half forward on the pine. Who rotates into the midfield? Crouch? On what possible basis could Brabazon be dropped after his cracking effort last week?

Brabazon has to be given another game. We have put 4 years of development into him so dropping him after he plays a good game would be insane. I didn't mean for that to rhyme.

It is almost a carbon copy of how Mathews was retained for an eternity.

As I noted though last week he did have 14 touches, so obviously the selection panel and his mates reckon he is about to burst back into form after 3 years.

What happened to giving the youngsters a crack as stated if we lost to the Pies and Crows??

Ablett as an in?? Crouch holds his position??

Two weeks ago Crouchy played lame and got blasted in public by the coach. Hall gets suspended (which was fair enough) but he gets spoken to by the leadership group because he has let his team mates down. IMO, Crouch did the same thing and whats his punishment?? He plays the next 2 weeks...

He might have had 14 touches but he was taken apart by McLeod, particulalry after half time. And he does his best work on the over thirties. How on earth young Thornton can be dropped and we retain a chugging shorts tugger. At least Benny did the decent thing and pulled the pin before he went through male menopause.

And he is a serial offender in taking a spot and playing injured. Like for about 50 games.

Glad to see Smith getting the run of games he so deserves.

While I agree with the general proposition that crouch probably isn't cutting it i am not sure he was taken apart by mcleod last week, after half time or otherwise.
