As long as he doesn't king hit opposition players, I'm sure he'll be fine

This is an awful way for a bloke to bow out, he should have played the remaining 2009 games and finished up with MOL which is surely his preferred option.

He's a gentle soul off the field, he has come down much too hard on himself in that Press Conference from the report I've seen. From Premiership Captain to you are no longer required it appears.

Very depressing for him and us.

Well done, excellent career Barry, thanks for 05 and many other memories.

The Players Association will keep an eye on him.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Well, it turns out that BBBH's and MOL's departures have been staggered after all! (By 9 weeks.)

A sad way to go, but no-one can deny what he achieved or his place in history. Just like Davo, incidentally. Thanks for everything, BBBH. Well, almost everything.

but he might just get a little too excited should he kick a goal - and that wont be tolerated!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I really don't remember too many 'pack splitting marks', maybe just 'pack splitting.

I struggle to feel anything for Baz, I think I should feel a bit sad, but I just feel 'meh' about the whole situation.
Sure it could have been handled better, but really was he on his way out as the side evolves again.
I am actually excited to see how the team fairs without him. Will Reg step up and blow us all away? Is White going capitalise on his body and become an accurate goal kicking machine?
Will Vespa become Swans excitement machine? Is there something going on behind the scenes to bring us a "Roughhead" at the end of the year?

Roughead? Hmm Vez is great but I see his role evolving in the midfield I think Jesse White is being groomed for a role in the forward line with Pyke as back up ruckman. Am I only one who thinks Jack is an ace who is flying under the radar at the moment. He does some really tough things. A young Kirk

This is a wretched business. He gave everything he had for us. And in return at the end he was publicly humiliated and denied the opportunity to play out his last games with OLoughlin. All the best wishes in your sport and your life big man. He didn't leave the club. It left him. Shameful.

Devastated. His '05 GF goal will always be cherished. A swans champ, deserved to play out the year.

He played some great games for the club but reality is that since 2007, he's hardly been outstanding.

No doubt there is more to this than meets the eye, but bottom line is that he has been a loose cannon of late and there is something strange going on inside of that thick skull.

Honestly, I think he made the right decision, before someone was seriously hurt.

It is sad for it to end this way but his choice. Discipline is a big part of footy.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
