I still maintain we should of moved heaven and earth to get fev last year! We wouldnt have this worry now for a replacement for hall. Yeah sure lets go for roughhead, how about buddy aswell? Thats how much hope we have of getting roughhead! He would be hawthorns best forward this year. Pavlich would be ideal but he would go back to SA if he leaves, I havent heard of any big names being available.

Well its a bit of a dilemma, Sydney seriously needs a rebuild, but cant afford to hit the bottom of the ladder. Draft picks are gold this year, but does that mean they would be more useful trading them for established players so we can try and make another few more runs at the finals? I think so.

As for players who knows, but I think Sydney will be after a "marketable" player(s).

I like the Roughy idea, I mean who would want to live under the "shadow" of Buddy.
Reiwoldt? isnt he out of contract this year.
Pav - Ooooh that'd be nice. its obvious he needs a change, unfortunatley we're not home territory for him.

I would love to have Roughead, but it ain't gonna happen. Hawthorn are just the most stingiest people to deal/trade with. They literally want gold and are willing to give you mud in return.(you know what I am trying to say with that analogy). The pav could be a possibility, and god I would love to have him there. I wouldn't give up on that thought just yet.

Freo aren't going to trade anyone good.

There aren't actually that many players that tickle my fancy who might be available. Free agency of some description could be really handy next year.

I know it's great to think up wishlists, but the reality as has been pointed out is that the elite players won't go anywhere without us having to give up plenty to get them. And when we're all sitting here saying we need to use more picks in the National Draft, unfortunately it means we can't have both.

As far as attainable players go, I would have a look at Aaron Edwards from North - so far a bit up and down, has had a bit of off-field trouble (and we know our success rate with those types!) and has been struggling to get a game this year. Another option might be Ashley Hansen from the Eagles - also struggling to get a game.

Yes, these types are inconsistent, but without having to give up the world, they are the ones we could conceivably do a trade for without crippling ourselves.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

You could possibly add Sean Rusling to that list.

                        No one from Geelong.

Apart from the fact that we get burnt everytime we do a trade with them, they don't have anything we want. All mentioned thus far are absolute hacks.

Roughead is by far and away the best "ready made" option out there. Pav a distant 2nd.

If we can't get a superstar, I'd prefer that we didn't trade. I don't mind Edwards but his kicking isn't great - been dumped by one club, can't get a game at a struggling club so wouldn't have to give up much to get him. Not sure how much he'd help us though.

                          Wouldn't go anywhere near Hansen.
