I reckon Grundy stamped his class tonight. Hannebury has some (g) ablett like qualities. His ability to get that handball out to white(?) who kicked the goal was awesome....and the kid is only 17 years old.

Tonights performance shows the cupboard is not bare and that there is a lot to be excited about.

If it was not for injuries and some bewlidering umpring, we would have won.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Well done boys. Great to see the intensity return to our play. We need to instill it in the next wave of bloods coming through. Kirk & the Boltons need to make it their legacy.

Very disappointed that we couldn't get the win but despite the injuries, those dodgy umpiring decisions in favour of the Saints to keep their streak alive and against most of our expectations, we almost did what was considered impossible.

The 3rd quarter performance hurt us in the end.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Yeah, future looks pretty bright for us. Although devastated, I don't think I've ever felt better from a loss.

So near yet so far. A lot to be proud of and some positives for next season and beyond. Ourtunning supposedly the fittest team in the comp while 2 men down was a great effort.

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

they were great tonight and for some reason this has hit me pretty hard, so dissapointed because it was a tough, hard working performance but we got nothing from it.

Proud to be a Swans supporter tonight. Great fighting effort from our blokes. Out omn their feet, bench down to probably 2, they fought it out fight to the end. Unlucky not to get some umpiring calls early in the game, but they never gave up lost by a point against the best team going around right now. Great effort, and we're starting to see some real result from playing younger blokes now. I thought Reg was great, Jack played really well. Losing Bird wasa massive blow. But the boys were great.

If you need to, whip out the 05 prelim and watch montagna again on the ice skating rink

Well the blood pressure is back down and the Daughter asleep again but I still feel funny. Pride and disappointment I guess.

Grundy was fantastic tonight and he has REALLY stepped up in the last 4-5 games - showing a lot of leadership on field and shutting his man out of the game. Barlow getting better every game and looks a lot more poised. Hannebery looks a real keeper and I like the fact he has physically stood up to blokes trying to 'scrare him' 3 weeks in a row.

If only Mick and Jesse kicked straight. Oh well we were not going to make the finals anyway but geez a draw would have been good. Kudos to Jolly, McVeigh and O'Keefe for playing on with injury - especially O'Keefe.

Pyke getting a little better, we have to play him every game for the rest of the season.

Almost forgot - C & J Bolton are hard as nails.

i am so proud of the team tonight, what is more plesing is how hard we played and gave 100% , so what if this year is over as far as finals go , but next year is looking promising.
bring on next yr and onward to victory.

Gutsy effort tonight. Shows that our reborn side can run with the top teams - at the SCG. We still haven't won one on the road.

We've really lacked confidence this season and tonight's performance should give our young players plenty of heart.

And if only we got those 3 holding the ball decsions within 2 seconds, 20 metres out in the last minutes. I cannot believe the inconsistency on that decision all night. Umpire no. 23!!!!?????

Yeah just got back from the game and was thinking that. Whilst still feeling the pain of a one point loss, I'm still proud of the effort tonight and things look promising for next season.

No. 23 had everyone around us hot under the collar tonight. Watching it live, he seemed to favour the Saints, so it willl be interesting to watch the game back and see his decisions close up.
