Interesting stat from the game is that we kicked 12 goals 10 from play through the corridor. Would be a long time since we did that.

We only had 119 handballs and that was very evident by the more positive play through the midfield and the omitting of the incesent sideways handball for the sake of it. A much cleaner and efficient style of play where they were looking to kick to a player running forward or to a tall forward.

And for that, it was a really attractive and enjoyable game of footy.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Totally agree and because of the 05 grand final some of his set shots have been very dicey since. However, he has a premiership medal, the Saints do not...yet!

Don't worry, the fans will be busy designing their premiership t-shirt as we speak...

The match day report laid against St Kilda?s Stephen Milne for striking the Sydney Swans? Jared Crouch was assessed. Impact was below that required to constitute a report. No further action was taken.

Just saw a replay. Best Swans match all year. Agree with the elated tone and much of the content of what's already been said. Quick comments:

                  * Don't think I've ever heard commentators (Dunstall and Lynch) so obviously dismissive of the umpiring.

                  * Apart from the intensity the best thing was the huge part played by the young brigade - I don't think Grundy made a mistake all night. Plus Jack, Barlow, Smith, Hanneberry and to slightly lesser extent White and Moore.

                  * McVeigh was unbelievable in the first half. On that form he's a candidate for "elite midfielder" status (if he played for the Pies he'd already carry that accolade).
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

Over on the Saints boards there do seem to be a reasonable number of objective fans to go along with the obligatory mindless ferals in the post game discussions. A few of the more reasonable ones told some of the others to pull their heads in with some of their comments actually, which was interesting.

They are still Swans whether they like it or not. Those Grannie Medals do not count in the count....

What's the Saints bulletin board url ?

And yes we could still fluke the 8 which is why you don't want to lose all the winnable games that we have this year.

We have to win all our games. Richmond, Geelong, Collingwood, Brisbane. If e play like we did against the Saints, it is very possible.

Possible but unlikely. With our young developing team it was only a week ago we looked very ordinary against melbourne.

Pencil in one win, maybe two at best but if we lose jolly we will be lucky to win one. No shame in that but its just where we are at. I would rather they spent the last four games giving game time to another young guy like MOD, laidlaw or schmidt (barring injury of course) and saying farewell to barry and oloughlin.

Cheers for the url - not too different from RWO really. Interesting that one poster thought some of the Sydney yobs in their section were the worst they had ever sat next too.
