Let me just say that I hate the idea of us getting fev. We couldn't manage barry hall a premiership captain and part of the team. And we say lets get shot of him...and then three months later decide to pick up a bloke whose club (which by the way is on the way up and has midfielders who can seriously deliver the ball lace out) decides it can't control him.

    Crazy.

I am dreading news on a Fevola deal. I honestly don't think I could watch a game with Fevola in our colours.

Don't panic, it is highly unlikely we are going to trade for Fev even if the Jolly deal goes through.

Would not surpirse me if we used our new first round pick for one of Brisbane's excess ruckman such as Charman if the Jolly deal goes through.

Otherwise we will use our top two picks on gun midfielders or a mid/KP combo for the future.

Geez, I know it's a weak draft, but I wouldn't want to give up a first rounder for Charman.

I for one think the Buchanan deal is . Way to treat the bloke who kicked the winning goal for us.

For starters your first line is offensive. Secondly what has 2005 got to do with the future direction of the club. Buchanan hasn't played good football for some time and would probably play reserves next year. So it's been kind to the bloke to move him on where a fresh start might do him the world of good.

Ha ha, a throw away line.

I threw Charman up as a potential, it could be any other ruckman out there for that pick 14 that is interested in moving to Sydney.

The point was, if we get a first round pick for Jolly that it could be used to replace him with another ruckman.

Although I would prefer to keep both picks and hope that a combo of Seaby, Currie and Pyke can get us through the next couple of years.

Agree. And those unhappy with the trade can't conveniently ignore the fact that Buchanan himself thought a change of clubs would be a good idea (as per Roos' comments)

So we just hold on to blokes because of what they did 4 years agp?

If that's the case - Hall, O'Loughlin, Davis, Leo etc should all still be on the list.

2005 was great but we have to move on. I want to win another one, not hang off that last one forever.
