Apparently we're after Mumford, offered him a big 3 year contract. Not sure what Geelong would want for him.

A lot more than that. The Bulldogs are offering us picks we usually pass on.

I can tell you right now, we won't be trading for Fev and most certainly we won't be trading a precious top 10 pick even if we get two of them.

This is a once in 10 year deal with Jolly wanting to go home and us having a top 10 pick to have two inside the top 10 and the club is not going to take pass up the opportunity to take 2 highly rated young kids.

The only way I can see us trading 9 would be for a disgruntled top line rukman at another club and that's not likely to come about.

Really, Buchanan of 05/06 model maybe but we got a ruckman (which we desperately needed after the Jolly news) for Buchanan while dropping 6 spots, which for where the list is at is good.

If we end up with two top 10 picks, we are likely to use pick 28 for either another ruckman or some sort of package deal for Kennedy and McGlyn and we will end up with our third and the Dogs third for further picks in the draft.

Overall it is looking okay considering our number 1 ruckman is leaving.

Pick 28 or 38. He showed plenty of promise this year, without establishing himself.

Would make sense given that Roos said they were prepared to accept 47 from the Dogs because they reckoned they would end up using it.

Well, it'd be hard to argue now that Roos is taking the easy path in his last year and clinging to the old gang. We may all need a program for R1 to find who our players are.

We might end up trading 28 & 38 for Mumford & Kennedy, and be left with 6, 14, 47 and maybe 54 in the draft.

Extra reason to hold firm on the Dogs and squeeze their pills for a better draft pick, if the info about the extra cost of Hall going via PSD to them in here is true.

With Hawks in the mix for Jolly 9 plus player would be fine. Kennedy would be good for us 6 and 9 in the draft could deliver a good small and a tall, I would still like to see another defender come in Nathan Brown plus 14 and 3rd round if Jolly went to Pies may be worth a look, what about Rhan Hooper for some flair up front or Joel Macdonald down back?

If they come to the Swans they will have been promised game time - I can't see why we want them.
McGlynn is a mystery, why we would want a 174cm player..... Kennedy seems to be more about pedigree. That said we could do with a tall midfielder, seems we are quite keen on him though

I know Mumford was promising but you can't help but think about our history with Geelong recruits. I remember another undersized ruckman we got from there a couple of years ago.

If we do get him it would be pretty amusing hearing people shout out "Go Mummy!"

I reckon Mumford is a very intelligent pick - he's got plenty of upside and Geelong are stuck right on their salary cap limit you would think.

He played quite a few games before being dropped for the finals so he may be keen to move on. He's never going to be a superstar but he could be an honest trier for 6-7 years so he is certainly worth the punt if we have the money.
