Looks like we're(R&W Online) gearing up to take him, (Fevhead) not just into the team (player with definite benefits) but into our hearts!!!!

But what about our non-negotiable "no dickheads" policy?Comment

Let's be honest about this, "not the team you thought we were" is a pretty silly statement. The fact is we need to win games and we're not far off giving the Finals a bit of a knock, especially if we have the current best FF playing alongside the next best FF in the making. Yes he is selfish, some things just can't be changed
But I also see Fevola as a possible inhibitor to the development of White, Johnston and Currie. Like Bazz, Fevola is a dominating figure, one of those forwards who demands the ball be kicked to him and you end up with a one-dimensional forward line, a criticism that some commentators have had of Carlton. On the other hand you can have young players like Franklin and Roughhead developing together as a team to become the Hawks 'twin towers'. I would prefer the latter kind of team development. As you might guess I am one of those who wants us to develop a team for the future around our young players. So it is for a mix of reasons that I will be hugely disappointed if Fev becomes a Swan.Comment

Name all the 'great full forwards' of the passed 25 years who have played in Premierships compared to those who haven't
Lockett, Brian Taylor, Modra, Jeff Hogg, Gary Ablett, Simon Minton-Connell, Danny Del Re, Allen Jakovich etc etc etc
Only Dunstall & Sumich are premiership playersYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

If I were Fevola I would reject a trade to Sydney. Why would you want to play out your career in the football wilderness with no realistic chance of winning a flag and only a slim chance of playing finals.
Fevola's management should be daring Carlton to sack him thereby allowing him to nominate for the pre season draft. Failing that, Carlton could accept a lesser bid from a club in contention for the flag or he could see out his contract at Carlton.
I'm getting nervous we're going to trade for him. This is one occasion I wouldn't be offended if a player rejected the chance to come to us."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Can I just add my take on the 'no dickhead rule'.
There is no doubt it was actually spoken of and I'm pretty sure it was Ricky Barham, but will stand corrected.
The thing about it is, it was directed at assessing draftees. I'm pretty sure the philosophy was directed at only selecting mature young men rather than guys like Lawrence Angwin, amazing talent, nothing between the ears.
With guys like Hall, Lockett, even Fevola, they may not have passed the 'no dickhead rule' according to some, but they have/had undoubted ability on the field and had shown it.
The danger with using a precious draft pick on a 'dickhead' is they may have all the talent in the world but there is a strong possibility that as they move thru the trials and tribulations of becoming an adult, they may never realise that potential because they are, well....'dickheads'.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

This Fev dickhead kicks 80+ goals a season. Not so much of a dickhead when you factor that in.Sydney Swans - Finals bound in 2011Comment

Add me to the 'Get Fev' bandwagon.
All the arguments have been made, I don't need to add any more.
If we can get a top 10 for Jolly, it makes it even more perfect."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Wouldn't mind Fev on the cheap, but if we get pick 9 or 14 and trade it for Fevola, we've thrown away a golden opportunity to draft two potential guns with two picks in the top 15.Comment
