Are the Swans suckers or what! Port Adelaide sticks to its guns and gets two first round picks for Burgoyne, 9 and 16. We cave in and take picks 14 and 49 (or something) for Jolly. Port Adelaide refused to take Kennedy and McGlynn as part of the trade for Burgoyne, and someone is suggesting we are going to give our 2nd round pick for them.Comment

I bet we fold and give up 28 for one of them though.Comment

Hawthorn are jerks tradewise. They deliberately stuff around and take a week to achieve what good sense could accomplish in a day. Their conduct - including the statements by President bucket mouth/list manager Kennett - should have their papers stamped "never to deal with".
afl.com.au is reporting that they have finally settled a deal for Burgoyne - involving a complicated FOUR CLUB deal ... for pete's sake! It would never be any other way!
Port, Hawks seal four-club Burgoyne deal - AFL.com.au
So far Hawks, Port and Bombers are mentioned, with a secret fourth club also involved. Wouldn't surprise if that was us - presumably some poor bugger on our list is getting a "dear John" call about a bright new future in Melbourne or Adelaide.
Whatever comes of it - hopefully burgoyne puts in about once a month and cruises the rest of the time delivering not much of anything!Comment

Just to spice everything up, Fev might be back in the mix ...
Fev deal in limbo | Herald Sun
If the Blues are serious about offloading him, surely they take Bradshaw with maybe a pick, or just Bradshaw.
Or pick 14 ....
Kudos to Rischitelli - with only a year on the contract, having the balls to kick over Vossy's grand sand castles, he must be confident of putting in a belter next year that will force the Lions to keep him on post 2010!Comment

Mumford for Pick 28? Roos thinks so but Neil Balme denies it

Pick 28 for Mumford confirmed on the Geelong advertiser (I think thats what its called)
Believe me, McGlynn is not worth that much and Kennedy is relatively unproven. Maybe a player will head to Hawthorn or something in that four way deal but we wont trade 14 or 6.Comment

beaten again
sounds like we are the suckers once again. Give buchs away gain Seaby costs us pick 22 and 47. Get 47 for Hally and it goes. Get 14 and 46 for jolls and his missus. What happened to Roosey call better than 14. We are all talk when it comes to trading and we get beaten all the way. Wouldnt surprise me that 14 will eventually go. Whilst I am happy to get Mumford its probably going to cost us plenty and kennedy and McGlyn (not sure we want them cant be worth second rounders) st kilda paid that for 2 premiership players.
I think we need to recruit a good trader.Comment

Port is desperate for a ruckman so I hope Geelong aren't shopping Mummy around as Port now hold picks 8, 9, 16, 24. That might put real pressure on our pick 14 if Geelong is doing that.
But who would want to go to Port, they are a shambles.Comment

suckers again
If Port get 9 and 16 for SB why did we accept 14 and 46 for Jolly. I dont care if we are helping a family man its all in, no other club does deals like us. Maybe we will loose out on Mumford as well if Geelong involved Port are looking for a ruckman.Comment
