    Hall on MMM

Some interesting comments about Roos and Kirk in particular, sounds like there's been quite the falling out.

Yeah, they hung him out to dry publicly, and he is rightly pissed off about it.
I still think about that innocuous tap on Rutten and can't believe he was sacked for it. Ridiculous.

Innocuous? He cold cocked the guy from behind. How many times do you let a guy run rough shod over your team rules before you finally say that's enough.

I've been one of Bazza's biggest fans for a long time, but FFS pull your head in.

As Hall said - say what you want to me behind closed doors, don;t do it in public.

Considering the stance taken initially during the Davis incident - then the subsequent hanging to dry in the media, against their own position - it's not suprising they've done it again...Where's that failed Blood Brother thread...???

And how many other players have done the same thing and yet they dont get hung out to dry publicly? Look at Mooney - he's clocked plenty but Geelong dont hang him out like the Swans did to Hall. The fact that the media take any kind of moral high ground at all is laughable, they needed a story, so they ran it to saturation point - gruesome murders dont get that much coverage.. He was judged on a handfull of games - no one takes into consideration the hundreds of other incredible games he played where everyone sang his praises. So who should be pulling their heads in then?

There are those who beleive all the spin that the club dishes out and there are those who dont.

Good on Hall for having his say - if its alright for Roos and Smirk to have a go at him publicy - then right back at you boys!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Hall and the interviewers are right, what was done to Hall, and Davis for that matter was wrong. A true leader will handle conflict behind closed doors, not in public. Handling things in public as Roos and Kirk did is nothing short of bullying. Kirk may be inspirational on field, but in other areas, from what he has displayed, he is not a leaders bootlace.

There was no benefit to both parties with regards to the public comments from both Roos and Kirk.

Everything should of been behind closed doors and if it came to the conclusion of Hall quitting then i would be OK with it.

Sigh do we have to go over this again.

Barry has got nobody to blame but himself, end of story

He may feel better after speaking out but his comments won't have done him any favours in trying to find a new club.

Pretty narrow view on things. Roos and Kirk have been great leaders for a long period of time.

"Nothing short of bullying" - Where did you pull that one from? Roos and Kirk supported Hall for many years and after giving him warning after warning he just didn't listen. He continued to put himself before the team and his teammates and he got everyting he deserved.

Football is a public game and is dominated by the media. Things like this just don't get handled behind closed doors any longer, rightly or wrongly. One thing I would say is that whenever Roos and Kirk spoke to the media, they were honest and open and you can't ask for much more than that.

Davis will be remembered for his great game against Geelong, but will also be remembered for his lack of committment and KFC chicken.

This will always be a divisive issue, however, I think the club underestimated the sentiment towards Hall because when he went to his trip around the ground in the back of the ute - there were over 30,000 people who turned out and stood up and applauded him. they havent had a crowd like that since at the SCG - not even for the St Kilda game.

I agree that he should have got to have one last game in the Red and white just like the other retirees.

No one is blameless here - but I fear that the club cut its nose off to spite its face.

It was stupid but 'cold cocked the guy' - turn it up, it was a lovetap.

Still can't believe this man isn't at the club. Hope he plays next year and sticks it up a number of people.

I just can't see it happening TBH, he still has the talent but he is clearly not 100% committed to football and hasn't been for a couple of years.

As I've said before, it's really easy to not belt someone on the footy field, particularly if you know your career is on the line.

There wasn't much in the Rutten incident, but after his cowardly hit on Staker he had no business putting himself and more importantly the club in that position again. Is it any wonder that Roos Kirk and co were pissed off with him?

Even if he get's picked up I can't see this biting us on the bum, because every team knows that he is easily frustrated and if you niggle him you can put him off his game.

And when he's in that frame of mind he is a liability who costs games
