I realise that Eade is trying to pump up Dogs fans after the Hall trade, but some of the comments in this thread are irksome, to say the least given his stance at the trade table. He literally scoffed at the idea of a second round pick and is even being a tight-arse about a 3rd round pick, and refused to accept any comparisons with the Dogs acquisition of Aker on the basis the club had had 3 years and would probably get a 4th out of Aker.
Now he is "boasting" that he expects a minimum of three years out of Hall.
Comments about how the Dogs playing style will help curb Hall's frustration are also pretty disingeneous I reckon, and suggest he hasn't watched a whole lot of what typically gets Hall frustrated.

like it or not - did anyone think that Eade may have a valid point? Our playing style is rubbish at times - we haven't moved with the changes. I cant see it changing all that much with Longmire at the helm either.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Yeah, I thought that Eade had a point.
The way the Dogs play will allow Hall to act quickly and lead and mark.
the Swans pop it around until someone makes themselves available.
Most of the time in that situation Hall is at pains to lose his opponent who, by then, is on him like glue (hence leading to Hall's frustration and anger issues)The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

I took a bit of flak a few years back with my first post in this thread.
May I turn everybody's attention to Chapter 27 of Bazza's book....

Bazza contacted by and offered a contract with the Hawks, although they stressed they needed to shore up Burgoyne first. When things dragged out with Burgoyne (read: Pelchen being a dick as usual), the Dogs came in and he elected to go with them as it was the club he and his family had supported as a kid and the Swans were happy to do the trade with the Dogs...Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment
