Looks woeful to me.

How about we just forget about getting Fevola and start Johnstone in his natural position at CHF, and leave White in his natural position at FF? It's a pretty crazy idea but may just work a treat.

I would be happy with that as well and just bank pick 14 for a youngster.

But we do have other uses for both Goodes and Johnston that a Fev up forward would allow us to deploy both of them to.

Our midfield with ROK, McVeigh, Hannaberry, Jack, Bird. Bolton and Kirk + two potential first rounders looks so much better with Goodes thrown in.

But I am not against getting Fev, but only for pick 28 or lower in a full on draft steal come Friday lunctime.

With Baz gone, a FF that can kick the big numbers is where the yng learn.

So you are saying that the CURRENT Coleman medalist who's team actually made the finals, is on the scrap heap just because he got pissed at the end of year jamboree? (and how long has it been since we had a Coleman medalist anyway?)

Yes the bloke has issues (isnt the first, certainly wont be the last) but lets not forget that Carlton the club, has not been the most upstanding corporate citizen either in recent times. Just because they now have Jesus Judd, doesnt mean they are squeeky clean. and whilst we are on JJ lets remind everyone that he has his own issues too a little thing called eye gauging - or should that be joo jitzu facial massage techniques!

And lets not forget that fev was playing ina side with three of the best midfielders in the comp delivering the ball lace out to him on the fastest field in the league.

I've voted to get him if he comes dirt cheap -because he is a loose cannon and there is just as much chance of us sacking him as there is of him kicking 50 goals for our club. I certainly wouldn't be entertaining a first round pick for him.

As I said before we just got rid of our premiership captain and leading forward because he has issues - and we are recommending picking up another club's headcase with issues. And some of you reckon thats worth doing at any price. Absolutely ridiculous.

Where are we on the clock? 3.00 - 6.00pm.
What do we need to do? Develop young players.
What has happened to our playing list this year? We've lost Barry, O'Loughlin, Hall, Crouch, probably Jolly, Kennelly and Fosdike.
What will happen to our playing list in the next two years? We'll lose (probably) Kirk, Goodes, B1, B2 and ROK.
What has been the key driver to our success? Team oriented culture, self-less football. Whilst we've certainly had our share of gifted players, all teams do and the fact that we could mix it with teams such as WCE, Brisbane at their height and St. Kilda over the past seven or so years is because players were prepared to subscribe to the team goals single-mindedly.
What key ingredient do we need to maintain this? Strong leadership group.

Frankly, I don't give a @@@@ about Fev kicking goals, if all he's there to do is to appease the masses. He won't be part of the next tilt. The bloke sooks on field. He wants to get the ball every time it comes down, which in theory is a good idea, but if he doesn't get it, or isn't part of the forward thrust, it's goodnight irene. He is an absolute clown off the field. He gets these raps when he chases and tackles - meaning he does it so rarely it's noticeable. The only time i've seen him absolutely motivated was last year when he was on 99 goals and absolutely killing himself to get to 100. We saw how removing the distraction of Hall lifted the team in the last month or so... and now we're going to get a bloke who's far worse.

I'm resigned to us getting him - hopefully, HOPEFULLY, it's not at a huge cost. We'll effectively get Fev for Jolly.
So... Keep him out of the leadership group. Don't have him as a mentor. Keep him out of the media. Get Carlton to pay the majority of his salary. Heavily weight his contract on bonuses and make it watertight on off-field idiocy.

... but then at other times I think, if Barry Hall was too much controversy in the end, Fevola has the potential to blow up in the Swans' face big time.
