I think that's as close as he's gone to being honest on his football intentions.

As I said at the time, of course he had to tell them what they wanted to hear. It wanted have been crazy the day after the final to say - you know what I think I will be going back to the swans. Imagine if he had said the oppposite the day after the 05 grand final win.

His statement at the time was more based on how he felt right at that moment and most definitely left it open to be changed at a later time which is what he is doing now.

He only had a year out from the game, has kept fit playing gaelic football which is very aerobic and because it doesnt have the same physical component , he has probably been able to recover from his shoulder problems. With Scmidt now gone, we should be welcoming him back with open arms. He is a better player off half back then Shaw, he plays straighter and breaks the lines better.

Tadhg Kennelly has 10 days to decide if he wants to make a return to the AFL. Tadhg Kennelly?-?Independent.ie

Kennelly admitted last night that he is strongly considering a return to the game despite his conviction in the immediate aftermath of the All-Ireland final victory over Cork that he would be staying with Kerry.

Am I missing something? Did anyone know or, can anyone verify this from that same article linked in the previous post:

"It is understood that St Kilda, the club that Tommy Walsh is bound for, have also made an offer."

Doubt he'd even consider it.... but then again, I never thought he'd end up going back to Ireland.

My foot has always been in the camp that has supported his decisions, but I'd be a little put out if he somehow joined the Saints.

even if the saints have, i very much doubt Kennelly would. His GF lives in sydney and everything points to a sydney return if he decides yes and even the comment of potential coaching opportunity in there as well.

i am thinking is 75% chance of returning.

              anyone offering odds?

              7 to 1 he returns
              12 to 1 he stays...

Wish Ross Lyons would stop poaching our players and staff. Glad they lost the GF now.

Significantly he said he is weighing up his future with his missus, who wont live in Ireland...

Most likely will fall victim to the power of the poontang and line up in 2010.

My money is on a return. If we need him or not, that's a separate question.

I was angry when he left and didn't think much of him for breaking a contract. In addition there was the talk, whether true or false that he was leaving the Swans because they had no chance for another GF in years.

However, I am over it now and am looking forward to an exciting 2010. I believe another crack at the GF could be as close as the next few years, even next year.

You would think he has to come back. However,if he stays with his current girlfriend he has to decide sooner or later that to be with her he has to stay in Australia. Is she worth it?, is the money worth it? You would hope that there is more to his character than the indecisive person that is being portrayed in the media. Perhaps we are expecting to much from him?

I think there is much more to the story that we as fans don't know. For Roos to go over for the final, would add support to my theory.

If he can come back and his body can hold up to AFL then it is worth the risk I would like to see him commit to another AFL Grand Final win before he retires.

I'd rather see Bradshaw at the Swans next year but if we have both, we have nothing to lose.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I was informed by a (reasonably good) source last night that he is coming back to the Swans and there is a bit of a show on at the moment to save face in Ireland, whether true or not I don't know.

His Girlfriend Nicole never went over to Ireland and is still based in Sydney with no intentions of moving to Ireland and apparently he was making noises about coming back even before he wont he All-Ireland.

One great advantage of his year in Ireland is that his shoulder has had time to settle and heal and his knees too - not being tackled I mean, I KNOW he has been running! Its been a year of healing his head, heart and body. Sometimes that year off AFL makes all the difference. Now he can come back again with a clear heart and stuff up his body for us all over again! Yay!!!
