Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

    6.

    Very, very exciting prospect.

Once his mental issues are sorted out, and he concentrates on his footy, he will be a star.

      8/10.
I'm not going to get too carried away, but I love this kid.
Has the footy brain of a 32 year old.

10 - based on our expectations of what he would do this season and the exciting reality of what he was able to achieve!!! There's not a chance in hell i thought he would debut this season while still living and training in Melbourne!!!

Great year for Hanners. Really slotted in to the Seniors seamlessly.

9/10 based on the fact that he played Seniors and wasn't overawed. Totally didn't expect him to play but how could you ignore his dominant performances in the ressies?

Get a full pre-season into him next year and get him settled living in Sydney and see what he can do!

            Eggcellent work Hanners!

8 - Looks to have a big future ahead of him. Absolute bonus that he made senior selection while still at school in Melbourne and kept his spot

Didn't look overawed or out of place at senior level.

With our mature aged recruits he'll need to work hard to gain a place in the ones next year

A great run towards the end of his debut season and I think everyone will agree we've got a very exciting prospect on our hands here.
Considering he is still in school in Melbourne and wasn't expected to be even talked about in selection meetings at a club that doesn't often play first year draftees, I don't think we could have expected anything more from him.

This. Hopefully, being in Sydney full-time will help him considerably. I get a nagging suspicion that he may make some appearances at the tribunal.

Nah. I've met him. He's a top little kid.
Unless he has a personality transplant, I can't see it happening.

I liked the fact that the second an opponent tried roughing up what they thought was a little schoolboy, he'd turn on them and give it back in spades.

Yeah. I don't doubt his character. But he looks a fiery-type on the field. I'm just thinking his overall inexperience at the top level, plus general immaturity that you get from an 18yo could see him getting into stoushes and what-not during games. The egging thing doesn't concern me. I expect teenagers to do stupid stuff.

FWIW, I reckon he'll get himself a rising star nomination next year.

Which is grouse. Toughness at the ball is one thing. And giving a little back to an opponent who's having a crack at him is okay too. I'd hate to see him getting in trouble though.
