I listened to the last quarter of the game on radio on the way home from work and the commentators were commenting how if they were Eade they would get him off the field because he looked ready to explode and the game was well and truly over, not worth the risk.

From star recruit, to pauper in just a few games, and against a dud team.

Eade says it could take eight weeks to get Hall and the Doggies in-sync. A well-worn complaint:

"I thought we went to Barry too much when he was double and triple teamed."
Barry Hall symmetry will take time, Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade says | Herald Sun

Tom Harley predicted preseason that Bradshaw would kick more goals than Hall this year. Hall leads 4 goals to 3.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

After watching last nights game I don't think we need a recognised fullforward at all.
It makes it very hard for the opposition backs to cover all our forwards, we seem to be able to get a player loose who can kick goals. Maybe "Big Bad Barry" did us a favour by leaving.
Give Bradshaw another game or two and he will be a very good asset for us.

Once again we realise that the NAB Cup really is nothing more than glorified trial games.

Third game in and with no pre-season to speak of I'm quite pleased with him so far, a few more weeks and he will be match fit and scaring the opposition (fingers crossed)

Hall with 5 goals, last three coming as the Hawks fade in the final term.

Hall is becoming the master of junktime goals.

But it was mainly Hall who put the match into junktime!
But he looked very cross when Stephen Gilham swung an arm round his neck on the way past. Then kicked another goal.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
