Yeah I doubt anything we could do would top that without crippling us. Still be interesting to see what sort of offer would get us a pick in that mini draft, would love to see Ben Kennedy head to the swans if he was eligible.

Still waiting on the game being uploaded, hopefully it will be up tomorrow and I can put Tom's highlights up.

Edit: Just went up and downloading now, should be done tonight.

Finally uploaded For those with sharp eyes at 2:26 Mitchell gets a quick kick forward towards goal, hidden nicely behind a massive disposal graphic. So I didn't just include it because he was leading it at the time

Missed a lot of targets. He'll fit in well.

Yeah some poor foot disposal in there mixed with some tough effective disposal, but if he hasn't played much that would explain some rust. No doubt he hunts the footy, racks up the possies at that level, gets to the right drop zone and is tough at it.
            Great signs

Decision making by hand is great. By foot not so, but he is 16! When he gets more composure into his game he is going to be a beauty. Some fantastic signs of a player with great potential. Hard at the ball, pretty damn clean with it too. 2nd efforts after disposal are excellent as well. Looks like he has V8 under the hood. Love it. It's hard to be patient when your team is not currently producing the goods and i really can't wait to see Tom, Joey, Birdy, Parker, Rohan, Hanners, Jack, McGlynn running it out of the middle one day. Gee I hope that happens!!!!!

              Nice work ABM - thanks.

Watching the match on Foxtel, I couldn't help being reminded of a younger version of Dane Swan in the way Mitchell moves around and gets his own ball. I'm not saying that I necessarily think he'll turn out like Swan, but he did seem an industrious and energetic player with plenty of quality touches (and a few rusty looking ones). Overall looks classy.

Looks like the sort of guy who will smash it in Dream Team over the next few years too...

Thought the exact same thing but was too afraid to mention the two names together on here. I agree though.

it would be interesting to compare the top 30 picks last year vs the under18 Aust team etc ie how many ended up in the top 30 etc

                            1 is outside top 30,

Not sure if this is all.

Big Footy has a forum dedicated to "The Draft" if you has some spare time to update your knowledge in this area. Many people on there seem to be well up on it all, even to the point of hobby or obsession.

Will be Tom be playing for Claremont this week?

I heard the WAFL have a rule where under 18's can't play senior football until after the U18 championships are finished. So maybe we will see him in the firsts this week.
