(The thing with me and White is ... one of the girls that go to the footy with us last year, stated that White will be the new Lockett. After I picked myself up of the floor from pissing myself laughing, the kid proved me right. He had maybe two or three "good" games after kicking 20 in the ressies, and has been under-achieving ever since. He drops more marks than Blind Barry. The only time he's picked up his game is when Roosey lambasted him in the media during the Ansett Cup. I don't think he realises that the Ansett Cup doesn't really matter. There are other players ready, willing and able to take his spot. I said that he should be dropped to the ressies a full five minutes before Luffy (or Bradley) said the same on MMM. He's wasting a spot.)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Goodes won't be moving to the midfield because he's trained all summer to play CFH and this includes changing his body shape. I thought his marking was really good tonight also.

I think he's shown enough to see it's not a lack of ability. The problem with dropping him to the magoos is that the problem (to me) seems to be with the structure of the forward line and the forwards needing to get used to playing with each other, I don't see that improving by sending one of those forwards to the magoos for a spell.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Bevan and Richards don't get a game coz there is no role for them at the moment. White is the same. Someone like Rohan or Ves would have a role in the forward line but theres no room for White

From memory he dropped one mark tonight, and I guess your 3 listed fumbles may be the sum total of the fumbles I saw him make tonight? I don't think the guys been great, and he has been in the bottom handful of players as far as contribution each round, but I'm just not sure that it's a trip to the magoos thing to help. As far as "non-accurate disposals" the stats say he hit targets on 9 of his 10 attempts, I don't recall him actually being inaccurate in this game.

White played most of the game upfield. He didn't play any worse than Shaw tonight. Bradshaw ignored Goodes a few times when Goodes led into space. Watch the replay. I thought White fits better with Bradshaw than Goodes does.

Well, it seems to work for the kid. Send him to the magoos for a week or two and he comes back firing.
                He's been very lacklusture.

I think when Roosy shifted White to full back he just about conceded that 3 talls in the fl won't work at the SCG so its time to find a new role for one of them.

He's not going to learn how to play in the afl by playing actafl. We all hear what you are saying about his contribution thus far, but the boy will be a star, fire up jesse!

The MMM boys were saying how happy Roos must be feeling with McGlynn. Although he missed 4 tonight he still got 3 goals for his effort. He was out there during the ressies half time practising kicks at goal.

The best play tonight has to go to Mumford during the ressies half time. He threw a Sherrin, grid iron like for about 30 metres to Seaby I think. Very impressive.

Spotted Geoff Lawson (former Oz pace bowler) in the Brewongle tonight. Crouchy in a suit near the corporate boxes probably flogging wine. Craig Bird limping around near the race. Gave an interview to the radio head and said he was still a way off to running.

Just watched Roos' press conference and he was specifically asked about White. Said he was very happy with White, especially in the first quarter. Consistently did the things they had asked him to do - specifically presented consistently on leads and playing within the structure. Implicaton was that Jesse is sometimes guilty of losing concentration but not tonight.

So I suspect Stella is going to be happier than Annie when next week's team is released.

The problem with White is not what he is doing but what he is not doing. He is not doing enough tackling and he appears sometimes to actually pull back and avoid a tackle. I know that's a low blow but that is what I have seen.

I would agree with that. I'm glad the Coach is seeing it the same way.

Richmond are easy beats. What's gunna happen when we front Geelong?

I recall Roosey saying once that he was "very happy" with Blind Barry ... look what happened to him!!
Roosey's not going to come out and say that the kid played like crap. That's not Roosey's style. From where I was sitting, I expected a whole lot more (he is not Tony Lockett).

Once again, we played the easy beats. We'll wait and see what he does when he comes up against some class.
