For a young player in a difficult half forward on ball role, I think he's been really good. For a thrid round pick we got a close to KP size (with long arms) ball winner. Disposal will improve with game time but decision making plus set shot seem good.

Kennedy is the hard hard body every side needs in their midfield and the longer the season goes, the better they get.

He may be slightly superfluous to needs at the very minute with Kirky and B1 providing that hard muscle in the middle, but at 21yo he will be providing that muscle long after the aforementioned warriors have retired.

His disposal may not be pretty and is indeed not his long suit, but you better get used to him, he'll be around for a while.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Would not play him under any circumstances.

I think having Kennedy in the team is important at the moment, until Bird's healed and then it might become a choice between the two.

I hope they bring Smith into the midfield, one option might be the Eski as a half-forward, or Jack. If they just replace McGlynn with someone to play the same role, it'll be Bevan I spose.

Please, can I change my vote? I forgot about Ed. How can I have abandoned him! Can someone out there give him a vote for me? He deserves at least one.

I would put Smith midfield rotating with Hanneberry off half forward and get Hanneberry to run and play Mcglynn's role.White to CHF on occassions with Goodsey going to midfield when we need some drive.Let the backline alone..it needs to settle down.

Richards and Bevan are at best gap fillers until someone better comes along. Neither would get a game in a good side. Rohan and Patty are potential matchwinners both requiring match time in the seniors to build confidence and fulfill their potential.

I don't like Hanners in the forward line, he's been playing so well in the middle why change it. Whereas Eski hasn't been hitting the form we know he's capable of YET, imo he's a great forward (Only from a few games in 05, admittedly) and his spearing passes to BradWhiteGoodes could be a real weapon.

Huh? I must be watching a different season, he's been great except for the North game.

Double Huh?? It's the Eski of old this year.

Can't wait for the bitching and moaning when the teams get announced.

It will be Bevan. I hope it's either Rohan or Smith.

Well, I spoke to Teddy Richards last night (at the Redback's Cocktail Party - thanks RP for taking me) and he said that it's really, really tough to get back onto the team at the moment. (It's heartbreaking!!) He didn't know, as they will be told this morning who gets in, but he reckoned they'll go for a small - Smith or Bevan.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
