    2 things about Ted

To all the supporters of TED out there (there are lots!) I just want to make 2 points

1.We know what we will get with TEd!. No point saying"I hope he plays well and puts doubters to rest" He is an experienced player who usually plays the same way every match. He is courageous, keen and involved but often a poor decision maker and the opposition usually can squeeze a couple of goals from his brain fades and mistakes under pressure. Generally a good serviceable player but not a great player . In combination with LRT I worry. If Bevan was there as well we would be in trouble!
    2. If you were playing in the 2's busting your gut to get promoted, getting in the best players and you have seen Ted do basically nothing in the two's or on the track......then he gets promoted and you don't how would you feel? Promotion needs to be earned for players like Ted! Goodsey and a few others have reserve places in the firsts,Ted doesn't.His promotion after a poor showing in the 2's would be damaging to club morale and an indication that its who you are rather than your form that gets you promoted! If Ted was getting 35 touches in the two's was in the best players and buring it up on the track I would be the first one to say promote him. This is not the case. As Malcolm Blight proved as a coach "Always pick on form, even for Grand Finals"

There is certainly a lot haters of Teddy out there. Yes his decision making is questionable but there are much better players in our team that make worst decisions and no one says anything GOODES.
It seems it's just me that gets infuriated by his lack of awarness and decision making.

Bring Back Teddy give him a shot. He deserves it. If he fails then that will be that.
I agree with the posters that want to see TDL,Rohan or Vez

So can we assume you're going for Myke Pyke?

TDL is still my choice, smith can stay back and TDL can hopefully boot a heap of goals like mcglynn was doing....

Would people agree that with Merret and Bolton out, our 2nd and 3rd defenders are currently a lot better than brisbanes? I watched the eagles game for the first time since i was at the game and they were on fire! I'm confident they can limit Brown and Fev to only a few goals each, especially at the SCG.

I'm with you here plugger. Goodes is one of the most magnificent specimens to behold on a football field but sometimes I could belt him across the head with some of the dumb things he does.
Absolutely bloody frustrating, yet no-one EVER says anything about his decision making.

While Grundy, LRT & Teddy would be better than many clubs reserve backs, Patful and Maguire are very solid KP backmen who are apparently in good touch atm. Suggeston seems to be Patful to Goodes, Maguire to Bradshaw and maybe Clark to White (not a bad result for us, young Clark belted Jolly in the ruck in round 22 last year).

Not sure if it is likely, but you never know.

Given we lost a fwd, and brought in a back/mid.
Wonder if now we've lost a back they'll bring in a fwd??

I don't watch the reserves,(its a bit hard in Thailand..plenty of red shirts here though!). Reports say Pyke is in form ,so is Vez. I would only look at form players then try to match up on the opposition. So Pyke would definately be in the running.I repeat. What is the point of having this man mountain, lightning quick if we don't play him when he is a genuine option. We know Teddy, if the experiments fail we can bring him back,he will still be there and still play the same. So for me its Vez or Pyke this time but like others I want to see TDL in that forward pocket too with White the other side and Bradshaw in the middle,...Awesome!

Pyke has played 2 halves in 2 games in defence. Hardly a great grounding for lining up on the likes of Fev and Brown. Besides if Reg and LRT take the big 2 as expected, who is Pykey going to play on? Don't think he's versatile enough to play on a small. Ted could perform this role, although I'd think he'd be up for a loose man role which is his best position IMHO.

And they were well aware that he was already crook. Not good management imo.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I just have a sneaky feeling that Bluey could pop up this weekend..he runs well, tackles extra hard (much stronger than he appears) and isn't a bad kick. I can see him round Jetta..
Smith to the backline where he excelled lat year. It was the return of Keneally that took him out of round 1, not his lack of talent.

I can guarantee you most AFL players play each week with a niggling injury. The physical nature of the game makes its impossible not to.
