Round 4 Sydney v Eastlake
3.50pm 1st May 2010
Sydney Cricket Ground
Ladder
1st Reserves 3W 0L 146.9% 12 points
4th Eastlake 1W 2L 100.0% 4 points
Last Week
Reserves 21.19 (145) defeated Ainslie 15.12 (102)
Eastlake 13.11 (89) defeated by Tuggeranong 13.13 (91)
Reserves - A poor first half in which the Reserves struggled to cope with Ainslie's awesome pressure was overturned by a much improved second half showing, leading to a comfortable victory.
Eastlake - A shock loss by the Demons to bottom side Tuggeranong. Eastlake trailed all day and just failed to pip the Hawks in the end.
Recent History
2009

Team List
In: Reid, Gilchrist
Out: Ted Richards (Senior promotion)
Sam Reid and Taylor Gilchrist return after what I believe were precautionary rests of niggling injuries. Ted Richards, who only played half a game last week, departs for the senior team.
Scholarship players
Same as last week
Top ups
Eastlake
The Demons are captained by former Adelaide Crow ruckman and reigning Mulrooney Medallist Chad Gibson. Swans fans will be familiar with former rookie list player Aaron Bruce, who played as a utility in his time with the Swans. He has been excellent as an Eastlake midfielder, winning selection in last year's AFL Canberra Team of the Year. The other former Swan Aaron Rogers has departed for the QAFL.
Their star recruit, former Richmond Tiger Ray Hall, made a comeback to football after 3 years out of the game pursuing interests in PNG. However, he tore a hamstring in his first game back 3 weeks ago and will not participate in this match.

Talking Points
- Will the Vespa continue playing up forward, as he did last week returning a game-high 5 goals, or will he be shunted back to defence?
- Which Bevo will show up? The insipid and somewhat petulant player in the first half, or the dynamic and potent player that appeared for the second?
- Will Pykey spend more time in a key defensive post, now that Richards is out of the team?
- What role will the versatile Rohan occupy this week? He started off a halfback flank/wing last week before having some impact in the second half starting in the centre square.
- Can Daniel Currie continue to have an impact in the ruck, up against the premier ruckman of the Canberra competition.
- Will Dylan "the Dill" McNeil get more support in the midfield, where he was the lone shining light in a beaten unit?
