After being chased away by the doof doof music from the kids playground at Fox by order of my 6 and 8 yr olds we ventured over to the ground and caught the second half.

Emery took some very good overhead contested marks and booted goals. Very impressed with him.

Lewis Johnston played in defence and did this amazing run from one end of centre square to the other end and kicked a goal on the run from about 52 metres. Or was that 47 metres???

Vez was fine at the end of the game.

Barlow was the player that sat out the second half so he was the man to come in if anything went wrong.

Meredith was out there building up slowly.

The Nigerian lad went OK as well. Saw him have a long discussion with Kenny after the game. Perhaps Kenny's after a conducting apprentice.

The Canberra side was very good and had a string chance of beating the young Swans. They held it together in the end.

Pyke should come in for Seaby though Currie is not far away.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I thought Pyke was just terrific, and consistent, and took a mark going back with the flight of the ball. Curry's first half was fluffy. Sorry, I know he has fans, but......, if it was me I would borrow Pykey as backup. He doesn't get rattled.

        Lewis is Outstanding.
        Rohan is ready.

Went early to the Bris game to check out the reserves for the 1st time this year. Although he didn't get a huge number of possessions, Ranga Rohan was outstanding and ended up the match winner.

Every time he impacted a contest it was positive. Things I liked most:
          • When he tackles, he tackles HARD.
          • He is very quick to recover after he hits the deck.
          • His decision making is excellent - can't recall seeing him make a poor decision.
          • His skills are excellent, particularly his kicking.
          • His speed is up there with Jetta.

Its time for this bloke to come in.

          Others who played well:
          • Bevan
          • O'Dwyer
          • Heath
          • Pyke
          • Currie

          Clueless:
          • Barlow (just subsitute the negatives of the points raised for the Ranga, and add selfish).

Agree. That's what he did in the one game I saw him play against Q'beyan Tigers. Was very impressed with the ferocity and safety of his tackles. Would like to see him and Jetta rotated in and out of Reserves. Might give Jetta a chance to stretch out and find the posts again.

Apologies Ugg ... someone asked about the ressies before your report went up so I chucked in my two cents in the main game thread.
I should have copied and pasted it into your thread.

Yes, Byron is still having problems with his back from a car accident. He's keen as hell to get onto the ground and says it shouldn't be long now.

They've gotta pick one to take to Geelong. Currie can kick goals.

No. We don't have anyone on the long term injury list either I don't think.

So it's either White into ruck or Currie gets his first game.

I'd like to see Curry in for Seaby.
                      And Rohan in for White.

There is the option for White to ruck and Rohan to debut. The Club could save money as they only need adriver to take the family to Geelong instead of flying them to Sydney.

Both Bird and Thornton are on the LTI. So no problem there.

The club should get Red Rooster to sponsor the Rohan family's expenses.

Suspect Jude won't be playing next week, so no need to choose between bringing in a ruck and Rohan debuting - though depends on McGlynn's availability too.

Mind you, if you were looking for a straight swap of in-and-under type for Jude (and assuming Ugg is right about the LTI spots) young McNeill has been terrific for the last three weeks. Suspect he is probably still a little too lightly framed to serious come into contention, especially against the Cats, but he's been very very good at stoppages.

Thanks Ugg on that LTI list. I thought that players had to but out longer.

Great suggestion about the Red Rooster sponsorship.
