If it looks like being wet I suspect that Pyke may not play and White will act as back up ruckman so we're not stuck with too many talls. Could be wrong though..

We haven't beaten Geelong in Geelong this century and we haven't beaten a decent team in the wet since Paul Kelly played...(oh alright the 2004 Semi against the Eagles at Homebush)....we have lost our last 17 games IN A ROW against the top 4 sides...in fact we are played 29 won 3, lost 26 if we go back to 2006....but, by all means, don't let that get in the way of youthful enthusiasm.Cheer, Cheer and I can't help being optimistic, too, what's gotten into me?

They only need to win by a point!!! I'm feeling nervously confident we will get over the line.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I stand by my assertion that we "will do well" and that the wet would suit us. We are the only team that has not put in a sub-par performance this year. Consistency across the park is a big plus. Swans have the flexibility to match up really well against the top sides, including on the run.
As for the weather being bad. This suits Swans on many levels IMHO. It subdues the crowd, it usually makes for more below-the-knee and second effort contests where we have some tough nuts and it also makes it more difficult for their tall forwards to execute on their height advantage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we take the undefeated Saints to a point in the wet last year?
I've taken a bit of the 11/4 odds offered by TAB SportsBet to put my money where my mouth is.
That's 8 posts. How many will get me a seat at the bar to shout the esteemed veterans?Comment

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

we came within a goal last year fronting a much worse and slower team, i think our current side will offset their homeside advantage and we will get the win as long as we hit our targets and it doesn't rain (please!) we are going to shock them how fast we get the ball to the other end of their long ground.
