As already mentioned, Hawkins is their backup ruckman so won't spend as much time forward as usual. Carlton got away with playing Walker on TomaHawk so I think Mattner or Barlow could do a similar job if required.

Everyone wants to win, but it is not as simple as that.

I want a test - a true test of where we are at. I would hate to win against a team that is underdone (and for our team to get an inflated sense of how good they are as a result) and then to lose against them in the finals because we thought we had matched them earlier and therefore not worked on our deficiencies.

Mind you, I still want a win (but hope they remain humble and honest with the result - whatever that might be).

Not as if they are playing us at full strength either. Never underestimate the confidence any win, especially these type of wins do for a club and playing group. A win today, no matter who is out, would ensure our team knows everytime time they cross the white line, they are a real chance.

Never underestimate the confidence any win, especially these type of wins do for a club and playing group.

As I said I want a win too, but I remember when we flogged Hawthorn before the finals a couple of years ago - everyone thought that we were flying then, but we came undone pretty sharply come finals time. Confidence is great, over-confidence can be a killer.

But, as I said, I hope today is a good win - go Swanners!

very bad news about LRT i wonder the last time we played without both LRT & Bolton big challenge for the backline.

This will be our best H&A win in years. Ahead of knocking off the unbeaten Saints &WC when they were flying few years ago considering they were both at home.
