Swans vs Dogs: In-game hobnob (aka the game day thread)
Man are we a very ordinary team. Once again we are slaughtered on the big Manuka ground by an average Dogs teams. The much-vaunted depth we have is a myth. Without Bolton at the back our two ruckmen & Bradshaw at FF we have plodders like Henry Playfair back in the team. We are playing players out of position (Jude Bolton a player who can't kick properly on the forward line WTF?) & have very very little to offer up for. With us being so Bradshaw-centric Jessie White has totally lost his confidence as a forward. And he isn't a very good ruckman either.
How many passengers have we had today? And missing 5 easy shots in the 2nd quarter when we were still in the game is proof that some of the players taking these shots (Bevan Richards) shouldn't be down there in the first place.
And we play Freo next week. Oh joy!

It's been Roos of old today...conservative, supposedly risk free... with little imagination and no dare. Why he has stuck with White in the ruck is a mystery. White is a forward, he has shown that he thrives as the no. 1 target. I'd prefer Richards rucking, and that's saying something. The Playfair sellection as a leading forward was just woeful, he will never impact on a game, let alone win you one.
Speaking of woeful....the commentary....enough said.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT
more of the same in the last quarter.
Im getting pretty sick of white going in for these lazy 1 armed tackles. Doesnt chase hard enough for mine.
Very true - the boy has an attitudinal issue - seems to think he deserves a kick.
Reality is, the midfield is getting killed - McVeys down again, Kirky's gone missing (worrying sign) Bolton is playing sore and Hannebury /Jack ar estill cutting their teeth. Even with Jolly back that midfield would struggle atm.
