re: LRT - i ran into some old mates at the game today who said they still love heckling Hyph 'cause he's unco and useless'. What bollocks. Hyph is a sterling KPP IMO. I guess perceptions are hard to change.

Pyke certainly held his head high after today's performance. From where I sat he gave a contest to Sandilands and dominated their other ruck (number 26) in the hitouts. He showed that he's a strong mark and I'd love for that to continue to develop.

OK, I was looking through the threads, just seeing if any of the MikePyke knockers came on board and said Well Done for an extremely difficult and taxing job, considering the circumstances. Silence was the reply. So I am officially starting this thread to say Well Done Mike Pyke who has been thrown into the deep end and did not disgrace himself or the Swans.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well he held his ground. Power to the Pike, only just gotten home so have not read the threads/comments but I also thought Playfair did well.

DO we know why Kennelly did not play and what happened to Bradshaw?
I have to say I loved the angry Kirky-don't know why he was in the mood but the man was fired up

Great game today. The Swans are reaping the rewards of patience with this guy who still could be anything.Don't agree this is as good as he will be because his curve of performance is in steady climb mode!

Possibly the most telling stat is one free against. People who are new to the game often give them away. Jolly has given away 3 in his two last games, including against Sandilands. He certainly is improving

I'll post his stats later but his % of hitouts to advantage, was far superior than Henry's (0% from 8).

Even though Pyke didn't win a lot of taps, which was always going to be a tough ask against Sandilands, he negated several taps from him, which put the ball into dispute.
