Jolly: "Collingwood are bigger and better, oh and Sydney supporters have no passion"

?Being an outsider looking in, I knew Collingwood were big but I suppose I didn?t realise how big they were until I got here,? he said.

?Both teams are very similar in that they both have fantastic people involved with them? but the biggest difference is just the amount of people who do follow Collingwood and are so passionate about watching their team."

banter with his former teammates had already begun, including messages to one of his likely opponents on Saturday night, rookie ruckman Mike Pyke.
Not tough enough to pick on Mumford?

He'll be in for a volatile reception on Saturday coming out and spouting that rubbish.

Why would he text Mumford? Probably never even met him.
Seems to me he's behaving exactly the same as anyone who changes teams.Certainly not putting @@@@ on the Swans, and saying that Coll has more passionate supporters is exactly true..they have more barrackers! ...they may be crazy supporters but , by god, they're passionate! And he hsn't said anywhere that we don't follow our team with passion.
I think the whole anti Jolly thing is a crock. I'm yet to see any evidence that he is anything but a good guy who wanted his kids brought up around family!

Pffft, we are better without him anyway! Mumford is by far a better ruckman IMO. Hopefully that comment should even be more incentive for us to beat those @@@@@!

Hear, hear! Any more sensible responses like this and you'll be ostracised from the boards!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I completely agree. Every time I've seen him interviewed he's been very respectful of the Swans, far more than the bald tool that now plays for the bulldogs.

And while I'm at it, where the devil did the quote at the head of thread come from? It does not reflect in any way what Jolly said in the article? Surely it wasn't just made up?
                    Maybe it could be revisited?

You think? Are you not as passionate as Collingwood fans? They have more supporters but I think every club has a mixture ranging from, passionate to interested, to not interested. My Swans mates are more passionate about their club than my Collingwood mates so it's a generalisation.

Just a throw away line from Jolly though.
