Massive kicking from the Pies tonight. Not an excuse, just noting.
I was wrong about Gerard and his hair.

His kicking is very up and under too - seems to have an exagerated movement in the way he places the ball on the boot.

Massively disappointed in Bird and Hannebery tonight too. Hardly sighted either.

Anyway, I guess this is not unexpected, but still hurts.
Bird's been good in the last quarter.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Goodes reminds me of McKernan when he played as a forward in the latter part of his career. More often than not gets caught under the ball and looks set to take a mark but invariably can't hang on to it. I think the experiment is over - bring him back to the middle. Never thought I'd say that.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

18 behinds to the pies.... lot's of opportunities to control the ball. Lot's of missed opportunities.

            Unfathomable run of play, that.

Just want Jetta to kick a goal now, everything else looks unlikely :-)

He seems to have been moved to the centre. I don't know why he did not start there.

I on the other had have been of the view that goodes never pays well when he has a direct defensive opp0nent. should never have been moved forward.

LRT absolutely murdered tonight. Pathetic game. Until we get bolton back our defence is seond tier and anyone who says he is a good defender just doesn't watch him. He tries hard and thats it.

Goodes is not a CHF - bring him back to the engine room..

Jetta - is out of league ATM - shows promise

Rohan is not a defender - is in the mould of Steve Johnson - let him be creative in the forwrd line

Listening on the radio. Game over. What excuses now from Roos. Always seems to be out coached by Malthouse. He is his bunny. Lets hope Longmire can conjure a win over the Pies in 2011.

Goodes owes us big stylee. I'm not shattered by the loss. Hard to disturb the disturbed I guess.

I think we talked a lot abou tthis game, but nothing was different. 8 new players (or whatever it was), playing the same old game with the same old result. Sad that Roos will retire having this black mark against his name, but there is something Pim Verbeek about the way he has approached these contests for the last four year. Some of the coaching tonight has been just plain stupid. the players have been poor, but Roos no better.

Another point is that we have always played these games at ANZ statium or whatever it is called now. The crowd tonight was 33k. How long since we actually played one of these games and exceeded the capacity of the SCG. The Pies play this stadium like it's their home ground.

We will drop below Carlton after this, missed a great opportunity to jump ahead of the bottleneck mid table.
