Suggests that ROK is carrying an injury. I wasn't aware of him kicking with his "wrong" foot but would explain why so many of his kicks missed their targets.

Melbourne cheer squad ... you sounded FANTASTIC on the tellie.

The "english soccer holligan" chant was my favourite!!

      Great game.

On a day where everyone did their best (and it showed) ... Goodesy BOG.

      Welcome back Goodesy.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The cheer squad was fantastic I thought- I was around on the wing and it was loud and clear all game- just like the Carlton fans and their foul mouthed tirades at their own team were loud all game!

What was great about the Swans is they didn't let Carlton drag them down to their level. Carlton were crap and their supporters had good reason to be critical of their play.At one stage it was like they were picking out the Swan to kick to in their forward 50. Often when you play a team like that, their bad play is infectious but the Swans continued at a high standard of ball play and buried them,as they should have. They ran us into form and restored confidence in a few players . For those who think we Swannies supporters can be negative, go have a look at Carlton! That's negative!

Did anyone else notice how easy we brought the footy in from the points they kicked today.
Was it because of the lack of pressure Carlton put on us or was it that we had right footers kicking in and they are able to look in both directions.

Didn't pay that close attention, but we did note that most of his disposal were pretty ordinary.

On a side note, I noticed Goodes (2q?) went with a left foot snap, that fell painfully short, after wheeling onto his right firstly. he had plenty of space.

Nice win by the boys, i wasn't going but decided to head up at the last minute. VERY glad i did. Goodsy in the Mid is a winner. Shame Roosy didn't listen to us earlier.

Yeah they sure were, I was up the opposite end behind the goals on level 3 and the chant was very loud and clear! Had carlton supporters around me saying @@@@off back to sydney etc, not sure if they realise but some of these supporters actually live in melb. Goodsey copped his usual abuse aswell, protected species etc. It still baffles me why he is booed by opposition supporters so much? Top win anyway, we played great and looking forward to heading to the G to play the dees and hopefully see another win.

On the AFL Website's '8 games 8 moments' segment they picked Jeff Garlett's good mark and subsequent miss as the key moment of the game. What the?

Bit late for my 2 cents worth, having travelled down for the game very early Sunday morning and back home late Sunday night. I almost didnt go as I wasnt feeling great and getting out of bed at 4.30am was a killer, but am so glad I did. PASSION is the best word to describe our performance yesterday. There was so much to like about the entire teams' game. Roos has to keep playing Goodes on the ball and use Shaw as a forward. It was really good to see a lot of the 'old guys' playing so well yesterday (eg Kirk, Bolton, Goodes).

Unfortunately our narrow losses to Hawthorn and Richmond will likely cost us a chance of a top 4 spot but I would be happy with a (winning) home final from 5th or 6th.

Played quite well. Had my heart in my mouth when Yarran was chasing him through the middle!

I still think he's a fair way off our best side but he's playing a role with some key players out so I'll give credit where it's due.

Probably a bit to do with Ryhs Shaw being up the other end.

But on a positive, I hope the Shaw experiement up forward lasts. With only 6 or so weeks till finals, I doubt any opposition will have time to work out a defensive plan for him.
