Bit late for my 2 cents worth, having travelled down for the game very early Sunday morning and back home late Sunday night. I almost didnt go as I wasnt feeling great and getting out of bed at 4.30am was a killer, but am so glad I did. PASSION is the best word to describe our performance yesterday. There was so much to like about the entire teams' game. Roos has to keep playing Goodes on the ball and use Shaw as a forward. It was really good to see a lot of the 'old guys' playing so well yesterday (eg Kirk, Bolton, Goodes).
Unfortunately our narrow losses to Hawthorn and Richmond will likely cost us a chance of a top 4 spot but I would be happy with a (winning) home final from 5th or 6th.
Why was Goodes taken off the ball in the first place. He obviously became more disinterested the longer he was left there to wander around with ever decreasing inside 50's. Imagine planting Chris Judd in one position, he would pull out a Financial Review!
I just got mad and madder with Goodes at CHF. Normal transmission has resumed and I'm much better now , thankyou.
HP"He was proud of us when we won and he was still proud of us when we lost' Tami Roos about Paul Sept 06.

What's better than beating Carlton?
Beating Carlton,
at their home ground,
and watching / listening as they eat their own.
Just makes me warm and wonderful just thinking of it.
Heard a woman on the radio bleating that "my kids get their colours on to watch the boys and they're just devastated when they lose..."
Try not winning ANY final until you're 30 years old (and for some out there, no doubt 30yrs is a mere bagatelle), which was what I lived through.
Can't get enough of the cheating tanking ----s losing. Can NOT get enough.Insert Your Life [HERE]Comment

I can't understand a mother allowing her children to be "devestated" after their team's loss. Disappointed yes. And you never turn on your team. I could never ever boo my team. When they play badly or have taken a heavy beating, I feel really bad for them because they would feel a thousand times worse than any spectator possibly could. A true supporter supports through thick and thin. I love my team !!Beating Carlton,

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment
