That was a pathetic offering from our team today. No TLM votes from me this week.

          Well played, Demons.

Poor loss. Melbourne were very, very very good. Umpires had nothing to do with it. We can bounce back from this. Not going to get involved in the rubbish thats going to flood onto this forum. It was a poor loss but it wont happen again this year.

Goodes, McGlinn, Hanna, White, Jetta tried & at least hassled them, Bevo tried but unfortunately just not consistant, but the rest need to think about a new career if they keep playing like this & lets face it is a career & not a game anymore to them. What went through Kennelly's head today, he panniced all day & stuffed up constantly & got outrun by almost everyone ( I thought Paul Johnston was going to outdo him at one stage). If he's losing his zip maybe he needs to do a flit. Play the young blokes & give Kirkie a Sydney farewell & retire him against the Hawks.

He can tackle. He needs a high protein diet (maybe get Davo back with his KFC diet?) and 10 years in the weights room. It was like watching a spider-monkey tackle a silver-back gorilla every time. Just not enough bulk to bring anyone down. But if he gets big enough to lay an effective tackle, he may sacrifice his pace.

Well we need to win some tough games now.... how does the team want to remember 2010...its all in their court. I for one am hoping for inspiration out of desolation.

having returned from the ground it is simply unbelievable how poor we were from the first moment. Malceski made to look amazingly slow, Moore either gets the ball or he is a liability - he is so slooooooowwwwwww, tadgh is not even a shadow of the player that he was in 2005, jack was lost, kirk is so vulnerable in modern footy due to his lack pf pace, pyke is completely lost near his own goal, o'keefe is far better than today but boy was he smashed by bruce,

we were so slow and so often second to the ball. their efforts were appalling.

unless goodes got it today no-one else did.

shaw may have turned it over but he tries and he doesn't hide - and we had a lot of players who hid today.

and the umpiring which had no impact on the game was unbelieavbly one-sided when the game was in the balance (ie for about the first ten minutes - when did the rule become it had to be an effective disposal for holding the ball ??)

it is difficult to fully express how bad we were - but the first ten minutes and in particular the first three hand passes to players stationary behind the ball were awful but to look at the team you simply wonder where they are ever going to get another win from

Melbourne were fantastic, there is no doubting that, but we were very ordinary indeed. Really disappointing effort. We let Melbourne play it on their terms, and we never really tried to assert our style of footy onto the game. Gone are the days where a team would get away from us and get a few goals up and that would lead to something clicking in the Swans machine and we would spend 5 minutes completely shutting the game down and dragging ourselves back. We are now at a stage where when we play bad, we get hammered. Its a sad thing, but the game has changed, and obviously the boys that used to be able to drag us tooth and nail back into games can not do it anymore.

If anything, today and the last half of the Richmond game have shown that we still massively lack in leg speed, and until we solve that problem we are going to struggle whenever a team is willing to take us on.

Only players I thought today that could keep there heads up were Goodes, Jack, Hanners and McGlynn. Everyone else was pretty anonymous or rubbish. Oh and I thought Jesse did ok considering the complete lack of service into the forward line.

Going to be a tough run home, and we'll be lucky to even go close to winning our last four games now. Would be a shame to miss the finals, as I do think we have made progress on last year, but as today showed there is so very far yet to go.

True. We don't play Melbourne again until next year.

A loss like that could be good for us. It will ensure that the coaching panel don't overrate where we are at come the end of the season, and may accelerate some of the hard decisions that need to be made.

Oh and forgot to add Kennelly returning has gone from a 50/50 call to imo an unmitigated disaster. He has lost at least 3 or 4 yards of pace, his disposal is poor and he offers very little defensively. He either should play on the wing, or simply not be picked at all. I've always loved watching him, but he is a shadow of his former self.
