    Bevan , Pyke et al.
    Great endeavour shown by all.
Haven't seen the Team go that hard all game in a long while against a side above us.
    Mummy's knee a concern.
A large bag of ice on it for the whole second half.
Meridith , Rohan ... THE YOUNG GUYS REALLY STOOD UP TONIGHT.

What a fantastic team effort and a great way to send Roos and Kirk away from the SCG!

            A few notables for me...

Jack - just keeps getting better and better. Wins the hard ball, shuts down his opponent, kicks goals....not much more you can ask for
TDL - Kicked 4, provided a strong target up forward and applied plenty of defensive pressure
Pyke - Could this be the game where he really came of age? Had to step up with Mumford hurt, but more than just contesting in the ruck as he has tended to do in previous games, he gave us a presence around the ground as well
Shaw - Shut down Gia brilliantly
Richards - Much maligned, but he was solid as a rock tonight and was poised rebounding out of defence

Could go through plenty of others, but those were the standouts for me tonight.

Hopefully Mummy can play next week, and we can knock off the Lions and secure a home final in 2 weeks time.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

If Hawthorn lose to Collingwood, then we don't need to win against the Lions as we would finish 6th barring a thrashing.

It's starting to look difficult to change the side around too much now, what with Bradshaw hovering. LRT would be a big bonus though....

Just back from the Rising Sun, great night, wonderful atmosphere with a room full of Swans yelling themselves hoarse.
CrackerJack! and TDL, what a skilful addition. And Jetta sparked all over. And Jude worked his arse off, and that outrageous goal! Not a weak link in the lot of them, and any one player could be commended for effort and results. Terrific work by Mike P, Hannebery, Shaw, Mattner, Bevan, Kirk, McVeigh, Reg (Big Baz restricted to 2 goals), Mumford for a half, Teddy and on the list goes. The night of the year so far.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

One of those games I will never forget! Just brilliant to be there.

Does anyone know what Mumford's knee injury is?

Crawling into bed after being there. FanTAStic atmosphere - if the SCG could have a crowd like that every game, how good would that be. Maybe we need to have a coach and spiritual leader retire every game. - though seriously, those before-the-game tributes had me weepy. Once the big screen flashed something like " to our Warrior King, thank you" or similar, I was blubbering.

... aside from that, um, great game! Trent Dennis-Lane is another "oh my gawd he's SO good" player - I am finally allowing myself a frightening level of faith in the new lads coming up. Once we get McGlynn back and healthy, with him and TDL we might have TWO gophers on our side. And as someone whose before-coming-to-Sydney San Francisco yard was devastated by the damned things, I can vouch for the damage gophers can do to an opposition.

Oh em gee, that game felt good. Especially as a great big thank you to Roos and Kirk.

Just back from the game and too exhausted to write tonight.

I attended the unveiling of the Paul Kelly statue and took photo's as well. Will upload eventually.

Micky O was at the game with the indigenous kids. Eade ran over and hugged Roosy after the game before he ran off with a box of kleenex for Big Blubbering Biffo.

If we could only play like that each week.

Eade blaming the ground for Cooney's injury. Didn't injure anyone anyone else.

Very happy to be at the SCG tonight, fantastic win and couldn't have asked for a better farewell for Roos and Kirk... though there is another very important contest going on tonight that still hangs in the balance... for now however it looks like we are headed for a home final, which is a terrific effort while rebuilding!
