Would this necessarily be an issue though in looking at a potential captain?

Not that I think that ROK is undeserving or wouldn't make a great co-captain but given that he comes from the same 'generation' as Bolton and Goodes, Longmire might want to look towards the following group of players and appoint someone like a Malceski or McVeigh or like Mike has suggested Kieren Jack.

Last night's win was pretty cool - we have now beaten 4 teams in the top 8 - and considering we don't get to play ourselves, that just leaves 3 for us to knock over when the time comes! Go Swaners!

Best win for a couple of years (since final v North). Total team effort. Credit to everyone involved to have turned the team that got thrashed by the Dees and Cats just a few weeks ago into a team that has beaten finalists in three consecutive games. Am really looking forward to the finals now. In the meantime, am looking forward to going to the Gabba next weekend.

I think so. Captains need to be more than very good players - but they do need to be a very good player. Jack may prove to be that in time but he needs to demonstrate it over a longer period than he has thus far. He is really only just emerging from being a tagger to becoming a playmaker in his own right, notwithstanding the fact he had previously shown hints he might become capable of this.

dont worry about jack just give the sole captaincy to the hammer now and make jack his vice. Then we wont have to change it for 10 years

Can't find when One HD are replaying the game. Anyone know?
Would like to watch it on TV in the warm loungeroom, in contrast to sitting in the chilly wind of Sat night!

It was presented by Foxtel and broadcast on Ten as well, so Ten won't replay it.

What a great night at the footy The game before-hand was enjoyable as well, and we couldn't believe the kids were only 14 and 15.

Does anybody know if the farewells to Roos and Kirk that they played on the big screen are going to be available online anywhere? I couldn't hear the audio and would like to see the Roos one with all the tennis players with sound.

Ah, what a great send off to Roos and Kirky. Only five more games....

                            Pretty Good win.

                            Thought McVeigh was much better.
When the Doggies came at us in the 3rd quarter I thought it was because we dropped off in our efficiency. We started to make poor decisions that turned it over. Grundy fumbled and kicked poorly.
I think Jack and Hannabery into the centre bounces the last 2 weeks has really improved our centre clearance rate and quality of clearance. I also think this has been the catalyst to the emergence of Jack as a dangerous player.
Bevan's - just about his best game.
Pyke - definitely his best game.
                            Mattner didn't have a clanger.
Hannas - 8 clangers due to his poor quality kicking. If he starts to hit targets look out. His horrible shot at goal sums up his hook foot.
                            TDL has arrived.
Meredith turned it over early but improved as the game went on.
                            Smith needed the run.
Rohan was okay but was very indecisive and static.
                            Kennelly - superb again.
The rest were very good in a very even performance.

Great performance by our boys and a home final beckons. Very excited about TDL's improvement over the last few weeks, with another pre-season he is only going to get better.
