Hopefully it's Saturday afternoon. There is no competition in Sydney on Saturday afternoon's. I get the travel dilemma, but we did get sent to Adelaide on a Sunday in 2003, so a team travelling to Perth, would be able to return to Melbourne by Sunday night and have a 6 day break, the Saturday teams (Elim Winner, Qualifying Loser) will only get a 6 day break anyway.

Whatever day it is on, I think it sucks that it is only one ticket per membership this year. Pretty illogical I reckon.

You may have missed it in the eNews yesterday, but if we play at Home in Week 1 each member can purchase up to FOUR tickets each.

No excuses now for not bringing all your friends!!

        Cheer cheer,

I had to delete mine straight away as the stink of spin and desperation was fouling up my inbox!

The biggest advantage to playing at our home ground is the number of supporters in the crowd, so if we play in Sydney, we need you at the match.

ANZ Stadium has been a successful hunting ground for us when it comes to finals. Your Sydney Swans have won 3 from 4 finals on this ground proving the team responds to BIG crowds. You saw our supporters lift the team at crucial moments on Saturday night against the Bulldogs, and we'll be looking to you to once again fill ANZ Stadium.

I think it's great I can buy four tickets per membership.
Saves me having to go and get everyone else's member cards.
            Very convenient.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Finals tickets brochure I got today in the mail seems to indicate that the SCG may still be an option.

Probably will depend on whether it's an afternoon game and who we play but I can see the AFL working out a deal to play Freo on a Saturday arvo at the SCG to maximise the crowd and match day experience.

I'm hoping it'll be Friday or Saturday night. If it's Saturday or Sunday afternoon I won't be able to go because I'll be working and that will suck big time.

This article says if we win on Saturday night then it will be a Father's Day afternoon final.

There is no chance that we will play Sat night.

Looking more and more likely that it will be Sunday afternoon.

i reckon we can jump geelong if we make it that far. it will be very close though.

if we do beat hawthorn/carlton then beat western bulldogs again on SF day, i'm pretty sure we're the most in-form team coming into the finals.

                            Another variation to the games.

Finals opener hinges on Freo-Carlton result - AFL.com.au

So if Freo lose tonight and we win tomorrow, should they drop to 8th it will be a Sat Afternoon final.

Either way no night game. I don't mind afternoon games at ANZ.

Well, Freo have won against Carlton.

So, if Hawthorn get over the top of Collingwood tomorrow, we must beat the Lions to get our home final.
