Thought it was okay, although Bruce broke out into periodic orgasmic joy at Carlton's comeback.

Unforgivable was the fact they seemed to have two cameras at the ground, one on a light tower and one on the boundary. Honestly, was @@@@. Even more @@@@ was that they cut immediately to some crappy cooking show as soon as the siren went...

Didn't get to see all the game due to Hockey Grand Final(big loss)...and I was ropable about McVeigh wasting that shot ...I have trouble letting go at the best of times but if we had lost his name would be mud.
Kennedy...what can I say...he has that big game temperament.
Some of Kirky's handballs were lightening fast to get us out of trouble and I think I saw him out sprint someone at one stage...it wasn't Garlett..how quick is he? Maybe it was Kenny.
Our back line did a servicable job and have become a unit which is a good sign..they understand what each other is going to do.

My blood pressure is off the scale...and the neighbours (Carlton Supporters!!!!) dogs haven't stopped barking yet from the noise I made.

OK its taken me several beers to calm down...... that was intense "how good were Carlton and Rattens coaching in the 2nd half" that to me epitomized what finals footy is all about, Judd was just sensational today, he really is the Rolls Royce.

Swans though....TRUE BLOODS! Everyone was knackered at the end. Kennedy = 1st Class, absolutely outstanding .... talk about engine room genius! TDL = awesome, forward pressure as well as a great mark and goal, that holding the ball tackle was inspirational! Mike Pyke = Massive Engine, he was going and ready when everyone else was r@@ted. Kennelly = I reckon this bloke is seriously an adrenalin junkie, puts it there when the ultimate cost is on the line, last qtr amazing. .....and Hannebery/Jack..... we have the next Bartel/Ablett right there.

So....Im now more pissed than I would want to be on a Sunday night, BUT

GO THE SWANS.... and look out Dogs!!!

Kennedy arrived as an AFL player today. He was simply awesome.

Just settling in for the replay now - will be interesting to watch it all again, especially that second half. At the ground you just felt the game slipping away but in the end it was iron will to get over the line.

Judd was super human in that 3rd quarter... almost dragged them over the line. Luckily for us the Dogs have no one of his ilk next week.

An excellent game from both teams.

My wife barracks for Carlton and whilst my son is a swan, he elected to play with the dog in the backyard during the last quarter.

I too am looking forward to watching the replay now in a relaxed state! The last half of the game was enthralling but a little too nerve wracking for me. I was surprised to read, I think on the alf.com report that in the 3rd quarter ROK was playing on Judd, not Kieran. None of the commentators mentioned that, and watching from the armchair it was a bit difficult to know who was playing on whom, so I will watch the replay with interest. If that is the case then it explains a lot - and not a very successfult coaching move you would have to think, although fair enough that Kieran was given a break.

Did you hear the bit that Lewis's family drove all the way from WA to see the game - it took them 3 days to make the trip! I am so glad the Swannines got up and won.

Back from ANZ, I should really be used to the heart attack finals games after all these years...

Great game; solid first half, awful 3rd quarter (Judd's brilliance not withstanding) and gutsy fight back in the end. TDL was terrific today. Other highlights: that Mumford bump (the crowd went wild) and Jack's judo move on Judd :-)

Good (and very vocal) crowd too. See, it can be done at ANZ! Maybe the key is to hold games there in the afternoon sunshine, not the freezing dark winter nights.

I think we need to sort a few things out down back.

It was definitely a game-savng mark - huge wrap for that effort. Not sure about his whole game. I thought that he should have been in the team over Reid, but halfway through the 3rd qtr I was wondering if Reid may have been the better option. Hard call for next week - but I trust the opinions of our match committee.

kennedy was born to play finals he just has that steely resolve about him.

Moore when he touches the ball its quality but unfortunately he doesn't get the ball enough.

Benny Mcglynn as the only change for me................can't see Bradshaw coming up and I wonder who they would drop for him if he did

Like not allow a monster like Warnock to run around with Ted unassisted? Those two goals in the second quarter were bordering on unforgiveable from a team perspective. Poor Ted.

I dunno. For me, his effort in the last quarter (right in front of where I was sitting) to hand off for a goal was brilliant and, also, perhaps, match saving.

Edit: I meant the second quarter and it lead to Jetta's goal.

I can't see where anyone has mentioned Nick Smith taking Betts to the cleaners.
