It might be offset by having the experience of two amazingly tense games when any mistake could mean a loss of a Premiership. All in front of 100,000 people. In fact they have an extra week's prep work called a Grand Final..There can be no better preparation than the real thing!

Don't tell me you are comparing Rugby and Aussie rules Knickers? At least we kick the damn ball 50% of the time. You would be lucky to see the ball kicked very often in Rugby .They just throw the ball and then 3 blokes jump on top of the ball holder, The wind would have little bearing on the game.

Due respect Blood but that isn't correct. Field position in League/Rugby is an important factor and teams can achieve that with a good kicking game so the wind does play a part. Also in golden point extra time which occurs in League (something i've never liked by the way) the team running with the wind has the advantage because they can kick a field goal from further out than the other team.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I stand corrected Big Al All I know about rugby rules you could write on the back of a postage stamp.
I just did not want our great game decided by the first goal or point scored.
I have only seen rugby games on T.V. so I don't know all that much about the rules.

That is what happens with the remainder of the finals IIRC. If the scores are tied at the end of regulation time the game con tinues until one team scores. Then the siren sounds and it's game over.

Stage 2 complete. And already there is talk of a Pies dynasty, one that is less than 24 hours old. All you need is them to have five months of being talked up so they head into next year's games simply expecting to win and, finally, the hungry young Swans may produce humble Pies.
