Dempster is a very good player and I was sad to see him go. Go Saints.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Hadley won a GF in his 4th game (!!!!!!!!)

Dempster could have been a very good player....but isn't....having said that he was CRUCIAL in the 2005 win when he went to Judd in the 2nd half and had a big impact on the Norm Smith medalist. May have been a match winner....certainly did his part and deserves his medal.....did waaaaaay more than Bevo who didn't do much at all.

Some players are just dam lucky.Right place ,right time, dating the coaches daughter, Dad president of the club...whatever the reasons and there are many, you can just be lucky to have even played AFL,lucky to have been in a GF and lucky to win one. In the current Swans A grade line up there are a number of lucky players and in the Reserves there are a few unlucky players. That's life.
Dempster was not needed by us.If he was still with us today its hard to see what additional contribution he could make above what the current 22 are doing. He was lucky to go to St Kilda and lucky to play in two GF's If Carlton had got him he would have been forgotten by now like that other Swans player...I forget his name...........

Seany had a personality bypass, but still a sense of humour, although a bit buried.. We actually ran the blue steel look by him a few years back and he obliged with a photo. He is the sort of bloke who wouldn't think anyone would know who he was, happy to be invisible, so that was perhaps why he may have been a little offside with bennyf.

Anyway, good luck to him making 4GFs, the other side of the footy god allocation hasn't been too flash for him.

With the draw, Dempster after next week will have played in 5 Grand Finals before reaching 100 games. At least he has 1 under his belt.

Rhys-Jones? Bedford? Mitchell (via a short failed stint @ the Maggotpies). Geeze! The Blues steal more of our players than the Pies!

Schneider: 8 senior seasons. 8 finals series. 5 grand finals. At least 1 premiership.

I thought Dempster played an outstanding game. But for an out on the full he was cool under pressure and towelled up Didak.

Agree - definitely his best so far.

Seems every team he plays in makes the GF. I wonder how much it would cost to recruit him back for next year.
