I am a bit peeved that once again the Swans have to travel to Kardina Park. That will make in 6 seasons in row, and 7 seasons out of 8, all during the Cat's greatest era. Doesn't seem fair.

SYDNEY SWANS
John Longmire's first official game as Sydney Swans coach will be against Melbourne at the MCG on a Sunday afternoon in round one. The Swans have a home game against Essendon at ANZ Stadium the week after, before heading west to meet the Eagles at Patersons Stadium.
As in recent seasons, the Swans have three home games in ANZ Stadium in which they will do battle with the Bombers, Collingwood and St Kilda. They have seven home matches at the SCG, a number of which feature big-drawing Victorian clubs like Hawthorn and Richmond.
In round six, the Swans will host Carlton in their first Friday night home game at the SCG since 2003.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Looking forward to Rnd 16. A couple of hours up the road to see the Swans play the Suns.
edit: right in the middle of NSW school holidays. Should be a few Swans families holidaying on the Goldy.Last edited by RogueSwan; 29 October 2010, 10:28 AM."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

I don't know how the Club can be "very pleased" with that draw.
That's certainly not my reaction with just 2 games at the MCG. Even Fremantle get 3."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Wrote to herald sun about dream collingwood draw:
So what is different to any other year. Collingwood always get the best draw. 2010 how many games in a row at MCG - now come on AFL - call it national comp - re name it collingwood comp.
18 home games (in vic) 4 away and 2 byes - fair go - talk about hand fed.
AFL is not Australian Football League - it is CFL - Coolingwood Football league
Give other states a fair go - how can this competition be even and see one team heaps of games in VIC no travelling - spread out byes all organised.
Give interstate teams a better go. 2 games on MCG for Swans. If you want 2nd team in Sydney to survive - give sydney team a fair go. Sydney NRL people will not cop a lopsided draw to one team.
Certainly makes a Swans supporter very disgruntled with this draw because of Victorian team bias. No thanks to AFL - not at all. Why don't you give collingwood the cup for 2011 on a silver platter now.
Talk about look after Pies.Love those SwansComment

Could have been a lot worse. We only go to Perth once and that's against the spooners Weagles not Freo and only once to Adelaide. Fairly easy on who we play twice as well considering we finished 5th this year.
Agree we are getting Kardinia Park a bit too often in recent years - how many times have Collingwood played there over the same period? Eddie complains a lot about a lot but he's very quiet on the draw.Comment
