He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Nine FTA by my count, which is still not good - especially the stretch of five Foxtel games in the middle, and the last three games of the season.

So what is different to any other year. Collingwood always get the best draw. 2010 how many games in a row at MCG - now come on AFL - call it national comp - re name it collingwood comp.
18 home games (in vic) 4 away and 2 byes - fair go - talk about hand fed.
AFL is not Australian Football League - it is CFL - Coolingwood Football league
Give other states a fair go - how can this competition be even and see one team heaps of games in VIC no travelling - spread out byes all organised.
Give interstate teams a better go. 2 games on MCG for Swans. If you want 2nd team in Sydney to survive - give sydney team a fair go. Sydney NRL people will not cop a lopsided draw to one team.
Certainly makes a Swans supporter very disgruntled with this draw because of Victorian team bias. No thanks to AFL - not at all. Why don't you give collingwood the cup for 2011 on a silver platter now.

        Talk about look after Pies.
This red herring comes up every year. ALL Victorian based teams play more games in Victoria because there are more Victorian based teams in the League.

Each team plays 22 games of which 11 are home games. If every Victorian team played every interstate team away from home that would mean 7 games outside of Victoria. That means that each Victorian will play a minimum of 15 games in Victoria. It is simple arithmetic, not a conspiracy.

I used to compain about having to play at Kardinia Park every year, but in 2011 we're moving to Geelong and I'll be living a 10 minute walk from the ground, so it's not too bad for me this coming season!

Stop being logical!!! I'm still working on the theory that everytime Collingwood plays in Melbourne, it co-incides with a major world event. And why haven't we ever seen Eddie McGuire and Barack Obama in the same place at the same time??

Yeah, I'm with you Johnno, looks like a ripper draw to me.

We play last years GF'ists only once each and both at home. We only travel once to WA and SA and the WA trip is certainly against our preferred opponents of the 2 options. We get to play the Cats at the SCG where I dare say we fare better at than at Homebush.

So much to like about the draw.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Easter bye. It's a ripper for me personally, it's a 5-day break this year with the Tuesday a holiday for Anzac Day (which is on Easter Monday). If we had a Sydney game, it means stuck in Sydney and no getting away. If it was in Melbourne, could have made a trip of it, but then our Melb. based fans are in the same predicament. I'll be getting sooooooooooo many brownie points for taking the family away for a non-footy holiday in the middle of the footy season. I'm off to Forster, booked it already....lol

Very pleased to be getting a first up game at the G in round 1......I like the games we have here in melb, all very winnable, except for the cats down at that dump of a joint, why o why must we continue to play down there????????!!!! Geez collingwood does alright, what a joke how they only have to travel 4 times and 2 of those they will most probably win against us (barring a miracle of us finally beating them) and gold coast.

Hate day games at ANZ. Hate trying to get to SCG from the suburbs after work on a Friday night. And why oh why can't we play Collingwood at the SCG for a change? Cranky and not happy.

Pleased with our draw for the most part, no excuses for not at least making the top 6 again.

Collingwood are given a dream start by playing Essendon, Richmond, Port and North Melbourne within the first 6 rounds. Do the premiers need to be handed such a cushy start?

I actually like day games at ANZ, much better atmosphere than at night. Erica, take Friday off work. Get the priorities right!

Well at least only 1 trip to Perth and Crowdelaide.

Why are Collingwood playing at Etihad in Round 1? Bizarre.

Not a bad start for us, Round 4 will be our first big test to measure our improvement against the Cats who are possibly on the decline, but still a very good team.

Still only 9 out of 22 games on FTA, interestingly we have back-to-back games at the SCG three times during the season. We actually play the Bombers in Melbourne

That's a 50% increase on this year, I'm a little happier with that.
