Looks good but I would like to see White or Johnson in somehow.
Maybe push ROK/Goodes back to midfield and put TDL/McGlynn on HF line.
That leaves Jetta being pushed out until an eventual injury.
I s'pose that Bradshaw will be injured at some time during the season and that would give, whichever out of White/Johnson not already in the team, a run.
I like the idea of Rohan as a reserve as he is/will be quite versatile.

I won't be holding my breath on Kennelly. I will believe it if and when he returns. Where's Mike?

He deserves a spot on heart and courage, but would many have him as a tall defender in the team ahead of Reg, LRT or Bolton? Smith is a critical part of the backline now, and we have to fit a dozen or so half-back flankers in somewhere...hard to find room for Ted if everyone is fit.

Geez that name kirk missing from the team is weird, ah well we must move on nothing lasts forever, that team listed should account for melbourne comfortably IF most play their role. I get the feeling the club will want everitt in their best 22 though so maybe smith out instead?

He deserves a spot on heart and courage, but would many have him as a tall defender in the team ahead of Reg, LRT or Bolton? Smith is a critical part of the backline now, and we have to fit a dozen or so half-back flankers in somewhere...hard to find room for Ted if everyone is fit.

There is always a spot on the bench for a tall utility like Ted.

He was also our best defender in the later parts of 2010 and whilst Grundy is going to be a gun, it would be tough to ignore Ted's form.

Geez that name kirk missing from the team is weird, ah well we must move on nothing lasts forever, that team listed should account for melbourne comfortably IF most play their role. I get the feeling the club will want everitt in their best 22 though so maybe smith out instead?

Ouch !! I forgot about Everitt. My next out was going to be Mattner so maybe Everitt could slot in there. When you consider I have left out Richards Bevan Pyke Reid White Moore Johnson Bird ect it shows just how hard it will be for the selectors if everyone remains fit.
The other change I considered is Seaby to CHF, Pyke to the Bench, Goodes to the Mid and Mattner out but that makes us too big/slow I think.

Apologies to LRT, Bevan, White, TDL, Pyke, Moore and Bird. What depth eh! We have good proven players to cover every spot except a true proven Full forward. I have to say if you listed our players we would struggle to replace it would be restricted to Goodes, Kennedy, Jack and Bradshaw. Every other player i feel very confident we could cover very well. Just think we have a first round draft pick, LJ and Reid to try and find some game time for. Should be a great season in 2011.

I thought your selection was what you would like to see not what you expect to see.
Going on what team you expect the coaches to choose, switch Rohan out for Everitt as the substitute..

I've said it before but Teddy knows what is at stake this season and he knows who is he is competing against for a position, watch him lift his game to stay in the 22

For me the new rule with one of 4 players on the bench only a direct sub and cant come off again is interesting for me it makes me think White could be in the 22 to do a little ruck and then takes a spot of front and allows McGlynn and or ROK etc to move back into the midfield for more of the game

I liked Shaw upfield marking up and hussling..........and quite frankly Smithy and he will swap alot all game long anyway:
