Patrick Karnezis - AFL.com.au
Jamie Cripps - AFL.com.au
Cripps and Karnezis are also very dangerous and will be around that 21 spot.................Cripps is very sharp and tough and would fit the Swans style perfectly.............Karnezis does it easy in the forwards and maybe the smarter pick for us......"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Bonus barely relevant fact for Karnezis (apart from the fact he has a barely spellable European surname with a Z and likes the number 13 guernsey) is that apparently Goodes is his idol. Isn't mentioned in that artiicle, and you have to wonder why he didn't then switch to be a Swans fan with dad and brother. Some chance he could still be around at pick 40.

Liz Im struggling with who we are after for 21 and 40..............if midfielders then Parker, Cripps, Conca
My guess is we will go with a tall...............last year in the ND - Jetta, Rohan, TDL, Sumner are all agile fast players besides Reid.......and we have already got one tall in Everitt for 2011............but unless there is a standout midfielder at pick 21 my guess is a tall player ie McCarthy, Karnezis, Tape..........but I think Karnezis is the most relaxed on the ball, adaptable to back and forward on the flanks................Last edited by Auntie.Gerald; 13 November 2010, 09:21 PM."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Draft prospect to utilise soccer smartsComment

Futsal is fantastic for increasing ones ability at quick decision making, fakes, one touch soccer.........although football (aussie rules) is my number one sport I have always loved playing soccer as well ......and helping coach it.....they are almost exactly the same in tactics and 360 sport........we used to get the young kids (playing soccer ie under 13,14,15's) to play futsal one night of the week and then train the other night on the open field............the improvement of the players was quite amazing over the season. It forced players to let go of bad habits, look laterally, keep their eyes up and move their feet before so they knew where to put the ball before receiving it........
Even our Premier League team trained one night futsal and one night open field............they have come top 3 for 3 seasons in a row and won the GF this year.........where as every other team in the comp trained two nights open field per week............the best part of small sided games in futsal, soccer, football etc is that decision making can be strengthened from one sport to another........depending on co-ordination and persistence
When you listen to Hannes chat about the areas he needs to improve it is all about decision making........Brett Kirk is a great example of a player that must have really done a lot of work on his decision making and small sided training games...........his vision in handpassing was second to none.........McVeigh is also up there.......
When the Swans were on they were on song through the Roo's era we were one of the best handpassing teams in the comp by far. Our in close quarters under pressure hand passing was brilliant.Last edited by Auntie.Gerald; 14 November 2010, 06:06 AM."be tough, only when it gets tough"
