Quayles phantom draft is substantially different to most other pundits. GC with 8 of the first 13 picks will shape the draft as they won't necessarily take the best plyer at each pick but try and balance their list.

Some opinion says Darling was physically so mature as a 16yo that he looked better than he actually is, he hasn't developed any more since then and may not develop any further. That is why he may slide from a certain top 5 a year ago to maybe a late 20 pick.

Everyone else has Smedts going in the 10-15 range because he is a Geelong boy they don't think Geelong would pass on him at 15 so I'd be rapt if he fell through to us.

The ruckman Scott Lycett has ben inked in for Poor Power at pick 16 for months but latest mail has them taking a midfielder. If so it will be worth watching how far this very talented player could fall. I'll be pissed if he falls all the way to them in the mid 30s just because ruckmen are no longer as valuable due to the stupid interchange rules.

Not as exciting for us as last year but an anticipated draft for mine just because of the number of picks GC has. Be really interested to see what we do with our last two picks.

LOL there wasnt much outrage here last year, in fact I think it was high fives all round for the ND.

The rookie draft wasn't such a positive experience though with Hank and the decision to skip on a heap of picks

The Big Footy phantom had us taking Harvey & Browne as well as Lester and Lycett. Would and should we even consider Lycett if he fell to 21?

I don't think so - we're already overstocked with ruckman, he'll be 5th in line

Wouldn't be unhappy with any of them at 21- or indeed, Josh Green or Seb Tape either.

I have watched Jed Lamb play all his career. He would be an outstanding pick up. Dyson Heppell is the other really outstanding Gippsland kid in the draft.
