Thanks Liz - great to have an idea of what was going on. And, on the whole, well done our blokes, despite the impression they are getting into the seniors' pattern of turning a clear win into a close one. Or maybe I'm not paying respect where it is due.
I also wonder about the wind.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Not even a hint of a breeze. Swans tackling significantly better in 1st and 3rd quarters and when it dropped off, Loins wrested control. We were clearly a physically smaller team. And warm conditions maybe took their toll. LJ forward in first half and a bit of each in second half. Was matched up on Maguire for much of game and was beaten in most contests. Did have his head ripped off in a couple of marking contests but umpires didn't seem the least bit interested in protecting any player impeded in a marking contest. They were too taken up with trying to find reasons to pay soft 50m penalties.

Thought you were too old to follow my iPhone posts!

Looks like they credited one of my Kruger goals to Moore. I confess I wasn't 100% sure it was Eugene's but it was he that they all seemed to run to to congratulate. From memory Moore had been paid a free kick off the ball but when Eigene's shot dribbled through, they let the goal stand.

Good in parts but not absolutely demanding a senior recall. I took a few notes so I will write up more when I get home tomorrow afternoon and can type properly.

This has helped him move into the future!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I think we both know that are people who would be over the moon with it! I can remember quite clearly someone a former colleague many years ago showing me the wonders of their brand spanking new Palm device, with its ability to SYNC CALENDAR DETAILS!!!!!, and it was all a bit ho hum until they said "and with this cable I can use it as a WYSE terminal".

I wonder if he was dropped specifically to put in a full game against strong opposition....ie if the ressies were playing Quenabeyan would he have held his place?
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
