Mummy is quite an easy one - straight swap for Seaby if they want to leave the balance similar to now.
But yes, finding someone to leave out for Jack is going to cause a lot of head scratching. A month ago Bird might have been the most obvious choice (allowing for the fact that Parker has already been squeezed out of the team). But not after the last fortnight. Jetta? Possible, but he still brings enough of something different to the team to warrant his ongoing education in the senior team. Maybe Everitt would be the one squeezed out based on the last few weeks, but he brings some flexibility to the sub role, and if he is not sub, someone else is going to have to be sacrificed to that role.Comment

See Swans ... now THAT's what I'm talking about.
I think I picked the best game to go and see live.
There's NOT ONE player that gets a bagging from me this week.
The Auskick coach did wonders this week. See what happens when you get the basics right boys?? Everything else just flows perfectly.
You all put your heads down and bums up. I love youse all.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

I think we will need Jetta's speed this week, maybe drop Everitt but who heads to the goal square instead?
I'm not in favour if dropping either AJ or Sammy (unless they need to be rested), could keep going on but I'll just frustrate myself, just glad the decision (and accompanying headache) is not mine to makeChillin' with the strange QuarksComment

On Supercoach scores this year he has been down quite a bit on last year. I think the true measure will be how he goes against the better teams in the second half of the year. I suspect clubs are now starting to pay more attention to him and tagging him somewhat.Comment

2011 (2010): Disposals 21.8 (20.1), Clearances 5.6 (5), Tackles 5.2 (4.5), Contested 14.2 (8.6), Disposal efficiency 63.9% (69.6%).
14.2 contested touches a game? Sweet jesus!I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

True, but I was thinking more of his splits of hard working stats; an increase in TOG can account for an increase in disposals, but doesn't overly explain such a significant increase in contested touches. If anything it makes it all the more impressive that he's been able to get to contests and use his body as a battering ram whilst the amount of off field rest has been reduced.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

You'll find the whole team has increased its contested possession rate (as has the rest of the AFL in general). It's all covered in the excellent afl.com.au article linked below, although I believe we were more 'uncontested' than usual against Brisbane.

It really was just an observation more than anything, I only pointed to the stats after checking them (I actually kind of expected more areas may have been down statistically, even though I feel he has improved from just watching the game). Overall I put the Swans at 45% of total possessions being contested, up from 35% last year. Josh's personal tally has gone to 65%, up from 43% last year- probably just numbers, but he looks to be ahead of the curve at least. On a quick glance, ROK's the only other one to have an increase that far ahead of the norm.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Benny Mac receives a reprimand for tripping McGrath. A bit harsh if you ask me, seemed like McGrath tripped over McGlynn's leg rather than McGlynn deliberately tripping McGrath.
Ben McGlynn, Sydney Swans, has been charged with a Level One tripping offence against Ash McGrath, Brisbane Lions, during the third quarter of the Round 11 match between the Sydney Swans and the Brisbane Lions, played at the Gabba on Saturday June 4, 2011.
In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available, the incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), medium impact (two points) and body contact (one point). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 80 demerit points and a reprimand. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record.Comment

You're both right. Roos was banging on about it in the 3rd quarter but was talking about how Brisbane were bombing it to the goal line and making it easy for us to rush them through. Lynch then called us on doing it the right way immediately prior to McGlynn doing just that.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment
