Listening to MMM in Melbourne yesterday after the 4:55pm Sydney cut off, Luffy interviewed Rhys in the rooms after the game on his 150th. He asked him about the 21 behinds and how much they practise goal kicking. Not a great deal by the sound of it. It seems the guys do pretty much what they do before a game and that's it.

I would have thought at that level they would be scrutinising everyone's kicking style especially the individual replays from yesterday.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

He might have been hit by a Swans shot on goal.

You can practice all you want in front of an empty stadium but you can never replicate the match day conditions, atmosphere and pressure. Brad Scott, on AFL Insider, commenting on Lindsay Thomas's kicking woes said that Thomas had practiced extensively during the week and kicked 80% of his shots yet when he had a relatively easy shot after the siren against Adelaide, absolutely sprayed it and missed everything.

Make them do their goal kicking at practise in the nude. That would have the old chooks swooning (Notice, there is no reference to any individual(s) from here)

They'd have a crowd bigger than an NRL match.

If the weather was like Saturday it could be a tad embarrassing for the lads, and the Cougars may need binoculars.

Exactly. Most KP's don't hit their straps till 25 - still got a long way to go.

Would rather have someone in the team taking marks and kicking points than someone who is out marked, out contested and out played - and doesn't touch the ball.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
