Why drop Parker, who played well last week.
I would of thought this would of been a perfect chance for him, and also Sumner, to show their wares against players their own age.
The team is already overflowing with defenders.
Why is Kennelly still in the team, he has been woeful the last 2 weeks.
Why drop Seaby, who is in good form. Surely once the decision was made to play one ruckman Seaby had to be it.
Mummy was very ordinary last start and could do with some form and fitness finding, in the 2's.
We'll probably win the game but the team on paper looks predictable and very defensive.......Against the Gold coast of all teams.
We must be carrying a lot of players with hidden injuries. That's the only reason I can think of for the somewhat odd make-up of the team.

Agree. I thin kthis would be a good game for someone as raw as Parker, as there are so many kids in the GC team.
He may have had a decent game.

I've been wanting Bevan out of the side for years, but I actually think he was unlucky here. He had 11 tackles, and did some pretty good things. I'd have thought there were others (*cough*Kennelly*cough) who have performed far worse.

Our best side for a while I think. Bevo, White & Everett shown the door and people are still bleating - no pleasing people on this board some times I think.

I assume Jetta was maintained to be the sub.

We are too tall in the backline and lack a viable 2nd ruck option.

Out attack doesn't actually look any better then last week either. Whilst it would be hard not to kick goals against the Suns, I can't see who is going to be kicking goals the games after?

I reckon Malceski would be an ideal sub at the moment. If he's been carrying a sore groin for a few weeks, it is unlikely one week's rest has cured the issue. He hasn't looked fit for a while - whether that is due to the groin or the interruption caused by the knee injury. But he is a smart and classy enough player that he should be able to come in when others are tired and make an impact when others are tired.

I can see the purpose of both Malceski and Jetta as the subs and I think both would do a good job. I dearly hope its not the other two.

I'd like to know just how much this foot injury to TDL is going to upset his NEAFL Career? If he plays this week then @@@@ you ?Longmire You are just a dirty liar if he doesn't then yes, think you are right!!!! Why did Parker go out? If possible could you tell me why LRT is still in the team? I also don't understand why Seaby was not played? You are a total stuff head Longmire (totally mired in '90's). i don't get the idea that you can't have 2 ruckmen in your team. The Blues seem to do it & it works pretty well for them. LRT is not a good second ruck option, he has 8 h/.o for the year get over it jonny boy!!! We need 2 very good big men against this mob cos they play them!!! I don't like the team for this week & wish to say so before we get our asses kicked because we are too cocky & I hope Keiren doesn't get injured again (I have no confidence in our psysiotheripist, matt Cameron). the guy gave the go ahead to Keiren, Lambie, Rohan, Pykie & look what has happened!!! I have no confidence in his judgement!!!

Mate you shouldnt let yourself get so worked up over a game, lifes too short.

Anyway in my opinion the problem with playing Mummy and Seabs together is their lack of mobility and versatility.Alot of ruckmen like Kruiser,Nic Nat,Cox,Hille,Ryder can all play affectively as forwards and all get around the ground better than our two big men.

So not only do our men fail to be affective as forwards on any consistent basis, but they havent got the speed to go around the ground with some of the better rucks in the comp.Which is why i believe we use the part timer as they have more mobility and versatility.I by no means think im definately right, just my opinion.

Id love to be proved wrong thats for sure.

Why is it Seaby not giving much up forward? He's generally good overhead, and a reliable shot. I had a look at his stats, he kicked 20 goals in 24 games for West Coast in 2007. I know that's only a goal a game, but he also averaged 13 hitouts a game, so he wasn't playing exclusively forward.

Good point Wolfie. It does seem to be happening quite a lot this year.
