Im with the 'spanky is not a cool nickname' camp. It sounds a little.. ..you know... ........ Anyways i dont think he needs one ( though i agree strut sounds cool). When you've got a name like Spangher, you dont need a nickname. Imagine he takes a screamer ? SPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG GGGHHHHHHHHHHHHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! YOU LITTLE BEAUTYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Its ready made...and sounds better thank SPANKY, and i dont wanna see the way my mates will look at me if i start calling a player of ours "Spanky" ( i get enough @@@@ for being a swans supporter in Melbourne as it is )

Spanky does have great comic value though.

I'm sure if he is a dud on Sat nite you'll be calling him something else along those lines.

I'm not sure whether your being sarcastic or not, but I pretty much always offer my suggestions when criticising.
So my team for GCS would be -

          Backs : Smith - Grundy - Johnson
Half backs : Shaw - Richards - Malceski
          Centre : Hannebery - Kennedy - Jack
Half forward : Okeefe - Reid - Johnston
Full forward : McVeigh - White - McGlynn
          Followers : Seaby - Goodes , Bolton
          I/C : Bird, Parker , Mummy : Sub - Mattner

White hasn't earnt his spot but should to be given a run , hopefully in dry conditions, at FF all day.

I was fair dinkum Ernie... Some posters just whinge without offering up solutions or alternatives. I like reading debate and not whinges. (even when I resort to whinging myself )

I don't mind LRT or Spangher helping Mummy in the Ruck and then being able to use them forward or back. Having said that I understand the case for Seaby's inclusion. I like LJ inclusion. We need someone in the sides whose field kicking is so superb. His best work last week was off the wing pushing forward. Long story short Ernie, I like the side.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Sorry guys, haven't read the preceeding 11 pages ... I don't normally make comments before a game, but the changes this week were just about exactly what we asked for.

              Thanks for listening selectors!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Maybe what you asked for, but not me.

The two problems I'd have with this team is Parker for Mattner and the inclusion of two rucks. I wouldnt do it and I reckon Marty is playing as well as anyone at the moment. I might however play Parker for one of the rucks.
