    Bring back TDL?

Depressing performance last night. We were missing quite a few regulars, and the late withdrawal of Nick Smith really hurt, but we simply must do something about our forward line. Kicking so many behinds is just plain unacceptable.

Time to bring back TDL and leave him in the forward line for a while to see how he goes. We can hardly do any worse.

"Bring back TDL or we'll drink some UDL!"

Hmm, not very catchy is it?

Being named in the best list yesterday is a good start - I suppose the next step is if he can stop getting these unexpected 'injuries' in the days leading up to team selection..

I'm convinced after yesterday's effort that he deserves a recall to the seniors. If he doesn't come back in I'm not entirely sure what else he needs to do.

He simply has to come back and be given an extended period of games and have faith shown in him (Like Jetta has this season, despite not setting the world on fire). He has too much upside potential for what is currently a very poor forward line to be left to pillage in the NEAFL all year.

not with our game plan............if we chip down the field 15m kicks like the Hawks yes...........but we need the 3 talls to make contests...........we do what most teams do ie just kick out of the pack and advance down field for field position........that doesnt help a TDL type player and we aint going to change the game plan much at all I reckon !

We are officially the laughing stock of the AFL. This is easily or worst loss of the last 5 or so years and definitely the most embarassing. Adelaide on form were the worst side in the comp by a country mile and they @@@@ing beat us.

Surely TDL has to get a game this week.

Come on Robbo. Laughing Stock??? A bad loss for sure but a loss to Adelaide in Adelaide on a wet night is hardly cause for such emotive language. Now if the Suns beat us, laughing stock will definitely be appropriate.

Also the 12 goal loss to Melb last year was far more embarrassing than last night and we all know how the year turned out.

Really? I can think of a few doozies over the years that leave last nights looking very run of the mill.

Last night wan't good though & we had no forward set up & no plan but bomb it in. Horse hasn't got any idea of how to combat the flood & it has been around for years, very poor. He had no plan 2 & the players were still trying those dinky 2ft handballs that get us into trouble everytime we play in the wet. Has anybody ever suggested to him to get the players to kick in the wet not handball? Has he ever heard of holding the ball up at about the centre line & breaking the flood by chipping it around rather than bombing it in. We used to do that & every other side do.

                  TDL needs to come in!!!

Bring him in and leave him in to see how he goes.
The same goes for LJ for me.

If he's not back next week, there's not point in tearing up memberships - it's straight to Dr House for Horse.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Time to reconstruct a Forward line! Leave out White,Everitt and keep Bevan in the reserves as a reserve Forward in case of injury.Lets reconstruct it around Spangher,Pyke,TDL,Reid, Mc Glynne,Mac Veigh. Lets keep these guys in and find the right position for them and we might actually score enough goals to beat some good sides. This has been a frustrating year as we have got a good list of players.

The players often put in a good hard effort. We are losing through having no structures that work and no real plan to suit the conditions or opposition. It was classic how the Bombers beat Geelong because Bomber Thompson knew their structures and countered them. I feel its time for the Swans coaches to lift their game and the selectors to try something different or else we may not even make the 8.

TDL will be wearing GWS colours in the next few years and dominate. There is just no place for a smart forward at the sydney swans.

I have a feeling that it's just about our turn to loose players to another club and those players, whilst doing nothing at the swans will shine else where...just as we have had luck with discarded players who have turned into good players.

Name another occasion over the last 5 years where we have lost to a side who were more out of form than Adelaide were.
