My conspiracy theory:

If it was pouring an hour before the match, they would have snuck him in and withdrawn one of the talls. As it was, it was quite clear at noon and so they stuck with the original selected lineup. However this leaves him in the awkward position of having no game time in either seniors of reserves for 2 weeks and at a severe disadvantage for selection next week.

No conspiracy theory-that's exactly what happened. The plan was to play him if it was raining-coaches only decided just before game he wouldn't play. He spent nearly 90 minutes running/sprinting round the SCG after the game, 60 minutes of which he was joined by Jetta. Pretty demoralising sight to watch...not sure where his head would be after that.

TDL for White is easy to say in hindsight but I think it should have happened regardless.

There are players who dominate the reserves or dominate the VFL. Put them in the AFL and they struggle big time.

Maybe thats TDL?

Or maybe the only chance he will ever have holding down a spot in the 22 is by turning him into a defender? I mean thats what we have done with almost all our players so why not do the same with TDL?

Yeah but when a decent defender was put on him he didnt do much.

i think he is a true forward..one of the last real forwards with forward smarts.
